The association between witnessing spousal violence (SV) as a child and the increased adult victimization is well-established, explained in terms of neural adaptation. But establishing causation requires addressing issues underreporting both facing violence, endogeneity due to confounding variables. Moreover, role social pathways like nonrandom selection partners also needs be analyzed. Using India's Demographic Health Survey data (2019–2021), an endogenous treatment effects model estimated allowing for different levels predicted underreporting. Data come population-based French ELFE cohort launched in 2011. P-IPV was assessed during pregnancy, at months post-partum. Children’s patterns were measured 2, 3, Group-based trajectory modelling used identify trajectories each patterns. Associations children’s by weighted multivariate logistic regressions. Five identified: minimal (64%), prenatal (14%), decreasing (9%), increasing (8%), persistent (5%). Two SOD (few 65% many 35%), three NA 49%, 24%, 23%), NSD (short 21%, medium 56%, long 23%) identified. About 9513, 9512, 9499 children included comparative analyses, respectively, focused on SOD, NA, NSD. Increasing both associated with SODs [odds ratio (OR) = 1.53, 95% confident interval (CI) 1.24–1.91; OR 1.71, CI 1.31–2.22, respectively] (OR 1.66, 1.29–2.13); 1.95, 1.42–2.69, respectively). significant among girls 1.76, 1.12–2.75 2.27, 1.39–3.71, respectively), but not boys. Family interventions response IPV should pay particular attention exposed IPV.
