Young people living in out-of-home care (OOHC) are required to make significant decisions when transitioning from care. Without measures support participation the planning process, young people, particularly those with cognitive impairment, at risk of having made for them 'in their best interests' by others and, without capacity identify will and preference, increased being placed under a guardianship order decision-making. Little is known about (1) how impairment supported develop autonomy decision-making over time, (2) what systems services evolving OOHC participate transition planning. The aim of the study is to reveal importance realisation right child participate in children’s day care centres based on experience social pedagogues and workers. Qualitative research was chosen for by using method semi-structured interview. 11 employees, who work different Lithuanian regions, participated study. revealed implementation child, quality provided socio-educational services continuity this when cooperating with family successfully. should be associated strengthening his/her dignity, self-esteem, self-confidence, ensuring his better well-being emotional security; self-realisation problem solving, communication, cooperation, activity planning organizational skills improve, develops responsibility autonomy taking realising decisions. employees knowledge understanding situation, satisfaction needs, formation relationship cooperation. activities, which meet needs guarantee a favourable environment centres, opportunity influence organization activities centres. cooperation guarantees participate, because parents understand create possibilities its implementation.
