ABSTRACT Family Group Conferences (FGCs) is a model for promoting child welfare created to help families in managing concerns related at‐risk children, while respecting cultural contexts, and does so by integrally involving them their solution creation implementation. This study examines the experiences of 18 youths Israel's FGC pilot programme part larger scale Israeli programme. Thematic analysis identified six key themes perceived success conference. Background: Children in pediatric oncology report unmet needs related to communication and information about the illness, care involvement, psychosocial support. Supporting whole family involves challenges, with a risk that children’s voices are not heard above those of adults. Article 12 UNCRC has been catalyst supporting their right participate processes affect them. The aim this study was explore how children cancer siblings experienced participation family-centered support intervention, Family Talk Intervention (FTI). Methods: Interviews were held 35 (ill siblings) from 26 families after having completed FTI. A combined deductive inductive qualitative content analysis undertaken, guided by Lundy model child participation. Results: Children’s experiences being able express views, listened to, involved during FTI mainly positive. Abstract Children have the right to be heard in child protection proceedings. However, social work, young people receiving protective services are often perceived as vulnerable and need of protection, an attitude which prevents from participating making important decisions that affect their lives. In this article, participation welfare (CWS) is explored through qualitative interviews with thirty-three aged fourteen nineteen, CWS Nova Scotia, Canada. A thematic analysis findings highlighted four overarching themes—un/heard, un/informed, un/involved, coping strategies—to describe youths’ experiences service providers. The suggest involving children casework, including regarding placement, has potential foster trust care providers, improve cooperation access formal informal supports, enhance well-being during after CWS.

The digitalisation of society has transformed the way people interact with each other – a development that also influenced social work, pushing discipline into digital sphere. Today, workers communicate clients through e-mails, text messages, video calls and apps. work entailed innovative ways conducting including potential to strengthen children's families' engagement child welfare services. This paper investigates how communication can support participation in casework. Based on scoping review, identifies three key themes related services: technologies skills, client–professional relationship ethical juridical dilemmas. Children have the right to participate in matters concerning them. The Swedish Child Welfare Services constitute an arena which a significant portion of open care interventions for children and their families take place, thus context children’s participation should be realized. overall aim this licentiate thesis is explore how child constructed provided by Services. study based on social constructionist theory includes semi structured interviews with 11 aged 7-16, whom had experience receiving over period time focus group discussions 14 family workers who provide suchlike interventions. data were analysed using Thematic Analysis. first article, has been published peer-review journal, workers. article explores elements are importance process. results suggest that collaborative process both worker active role play.
