Abstract Objectives The aim of this systematic review and meta‐analyses was to evaluate the outcomes alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) following extraction non‐molar teeth in comparison early implant placement (EIP) terms clinical radiographic changes, need for additional augmentation at time placement, patient‐reported outcomes, failure rate. Methods Electronic databases were searched identify randomized non‐randomized studies that compared ARP EIP. risk bias assessed using Cochrane Collaboration's Risk Bias tool. Data analyzed a statistical software program. Results A total 106 identified, which five with 198 sockets participants included. Overall meta‐analysis showed significant differences changes midfacial mucosal margin (mean difference (MD) −0.09; 95% confidence interval (CI) −0.17 −0.01; p = .03) width (MD −1.70; CI −3.19 −0.20; favor ARP. use also associated less but not statistically significant. Conclusions Within limitation review, has short‐term positive effects on soft tissue contour, thickness, height. It can simplify future treatment by minimizing augmentation.

This study aimed to assess the effects of deproteinized bovine bone mineral with collagen (DBBMC) combined (DBBM) on facial alveolar augmentation in anterior maxillary region. Patients receiving dental implant placement simultaneous lateral using DBBM (control group) or DBBMC (test were included study. The radiographic assessment bone, such as horizontal thickness (FHBT), vertical level (FVBL), and square (SFB), was taken by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Generalized estimated equation (GEE) performed identify influencing factors associated contraction (SFBC). A total 164 implants from patients this After 6 months post-surgery, SFBC alterations FHBT FVBL test group significantly higher than those control (p < 0.05). 1-2 years after restorations, lower Spearman correlation analysis demonstrated a positive between at platform (rs = 0.322, p 0.001; rs 0.349, 0.002). Implant timing early loading 0.014) site central incisor 0.040) SFBC. applications achieved better region, especially placement.

Objectives: Recently, there has been great interest in teeth and their derivatives as suitable substrates for the treatment of alveolar bone defects. This retrospective study evaluates clinical radiographic outcomes implants inserted a site that underwent GBR procedure using tooth derivate material. Materials methods: A total 21 patients received an autologous extracted tooth. Four months after techniques, were followed average 5.28 + −1.10 years loading. The X-ray was analyzed period 63.36 −13.2 follow-up period. Results: 28 inserted. All clinically functional loss from images 0.1208 −0.1307. Conclusion: Within limitations this study, use graft transformer device guarantees production maintenance over time.

Abstract Background To compare bone regeneration and dimensional alteration of alveolar ridge at intact damaged extraction sockets after preservation (ARP) implant placement versus unassisted socket healing followed by guided (GBR) with simultaneous placement. Methods In 6 beagle dogs, 3 types in the mandible were created: (1) sockets, (2) 1‐wall defect (3) 2‐wall sockets. The allocated to undergo either ARP 8 weeks later (ARP group) or GBR (GBR group). After an additional period weeks, changes evaluated radiographically histologically. Results showed superior formation greater gains compared ARP, regardless initial extraction‐socket configuration. Although maintained preexisting dimensions, peri‐implant defects still detected follow‐up. Histomorphometric analyses confirmed that increased dimensions baseline, augmentation than ARP. Conclusion Early can mitigate narrow ridge. However, early creates conditions for enhanced around irrespective

Abstract Aim A new, non‐invasive approach suggests using single intraoral optical scanning to analyze the ridge profile of single‐tooth gaps following alveolar preservation in absence a baseline scan. This method involves creating three‐dimensional (3D) surface map identify and assess contour changes profiles based on adjacent teeth. Materials Methods The present study was designed as cross‐sectional pilot analysis convenience sample patients undergoing preservation. Intraoral scans were taken 23 patients, capturing data from 30 edentulous sites. digital models then imported into an image software for 3D defect performed by one examiner. characterized buccolingual tooth gap relative 10 linear divergence points, spaced 0.5 mm apart corona‐apical direction, identified at midfacial aspect Based these points sites plotted grouped three different (linear, concave, convex). Clinical parameters including Keratinized mucosa Width (KMW), soft tissue phenotype with Colorvue biotype probes also recorded. Results Three patterns convex, concave) identified. Seven exhibited profile, displayed concave shape, 13 showed convex profile. had discrepancies similar neighboring In contrast, revealed mid‐buccal discrepancy localized only crestal aspect, while extended ranging 1 5 below margin. Univariate multiple logistic regression analyses did not reveal any statistically significant variables influencing profilometric analysis; however, when combining KMW, thick phenotypes demonstrated higher proportion concavity (OR = 4.83) compared thin ones, suggesting trend. With every increase probability showing decreased ( p 0.057). Conclusion represents useful tool objectively quantifying defects assessing differences dentition indicates that KMW may play critical role preventing defects. can guide decision‐making during augmentation procedures emphasizing specific location providing more detailed insights its localization. These enable tailoring flap management grafting strategies address patient's individual needs.
