Abstract
Illegal
killing
of
protected
nongame
birds
is
pervasive
and
can
be
demographically
relevant.
In
2021

evaluated
spatial

patterns
in

Prey

Conservation
Area

to
provide
insight
into
potential
drivers

Abstract
Unsustainable
wildlife
trade
is
a
major
threat
to
many
species,
but
quantifying
remains
challenging,
as
seizure
data
provides
an
incomplete
understanding.
For
this
reason,
integrating
multiple
types
of
information,
including
interviews
with
actors
involved
in
trade,
crucial
if
we
are
understand
the
problem
better.
Hence,
study,
digitized
Bangladesh
Forest
Department
tiger
records
identify
routes
and
interviewed
163
individuals
trafficking
tigers
through
Bangladesh's
air,
sea
land
ports,
poachers,
smugglers,
traders.
We
identified
six
ports
used
import
tigers,

for
export
three
showing
bi‐directional
trade.
Elite
Bangladeshis

most
important
consumer
group,
sourced
from

Abstract
Wildlife
markets
are
hotspots
for
illegal
wildlife
trade,
with
traders
operating
as
a
result
of
weak
monitoring
and
law
enforcement.
