During the COVID-19 lockdown in China, shift of family members’ work and study to online platforms accelerated internet proliferation led a growing prominence addiction among younger age groups, posing threat individual societal health development. Previous research has primarily focused on upper-grade elementary students, with relatively less attention given resulting insufficient representativeness student samples. Additionally, exploring how parental addictive behaviors are associated mechanisms students been limited, which affects development scientifically based effective intervention measures for addressing this population. This study, grounded Family Systems Theory, explores associative between smartphone dependence students’ addiction, specifically examining mediating role parent–child conflict moderating roles. Using convenience sampling method, questionnaires were administered parents from two schools, 433 valid responses. Structural equation modeling analysis revealed that is association further influenced by conflict. roles moderate relationships conflict, as well addiction. Compared mothers, fathers’ more significantly correlated conflicts initiated fathers strongly may be related China’s traditional “male breadwinner, female homemaker” culture. Mothers typically assume parenting responsibilities establish closer emotional bonds their children, serving protective factor against Therefore, it recommended reduce avoid conflicts, increase involvement activities build stronger connections thereby fostering healthier use students. The findings provide valuable insights developing family-based interventions address children.

Aim We review extensive results from two randomized controlled trials conducted over 9 years, comparing standard care (SC) in level-4 neonatal intensive units (NICUs) with SC plus Family Nurture Intervention (FNI). Methods FNI included ~six weeks of facilitated mother-infant interactions aimed at achieving ‘autonomic emotional connection’, a novel construct that describes the mother-baby relationship level autonomic nervous system. Results and conclusion Thus far, 18 peer-reviewed publications documented significant positive short-and long-term effects on infant neurobehavioral functioning, developmental trajectories both mother child health through five years. The observed profound central system function following relatively short intervention support theory emotions . discuss theoretical clinical advances grew out speculate how changes ‘dysregulation’ to co-regulation. new constructs tools can be used view measure relationship. present simple blueprint improve preterm birth outcomes. Finally, we significance our findings possible impact future worldwide.

Abstract Coordination in mothers’ and their infants’ parasympathetic nervous system functioning (i.e., respiratory sinus arrhythmia [RSA] synchrony) specifically during playful interactions may promote resilience against exposure to postpartum depressive symptoms (PPD), for both members of the dyad. To test biobehavioral synchrony theory-derived hypotheses, we evaluated whether positive mother-infant RSA play attenuated associations between maternal PPD future child behavior problems symptoms. 322 low-income, Mexican-origin mothers children participated 5-min resting baseline free interaction tasks when were 24 weeks age; reported on at 12- 36-months age. Results multilevel structural equation models demonstrated that, though differed depending levels non-interactive tasks, protective benefits 12-month 36-month internalizing specific its assessment a interaction. suggest that dyadic coordination physiological capacities is an active mechanism promotes emotional distress children.
