Background Smoking is closely linked to pulmonary diseases, cardiovascular cancer, and other health issues, posing a significant threat human health. The essence of smoking addiction lies in nicotine dependence, though the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Previous studies have suggested that associated with regions such as insula, globus pallidus, amygdala, ventral striatum. However, our prior retrospective study indicates dorsal striatum may also play role addiction. Objective Our research aims evaluate alterations among patients lesions at 1 month, 3 months, 6 12 months post-injury. Methods We collected data from First Affiliated Hospital Xiamen University between August 2021 2024. screened some injury asked series questions time points after brain injury.
