Lead (Pb) exposure has been a serious environmental and public health problem throughout the world over years. The major sources of lead in past were paint gasoline before they phased out due to its toxicity. Meanwhile, people continue be exposed from time through many other such as water, food, soil air. these could have detrimental effects on human health, especially children. UNICEF reported that approximately 800 million children blood levels (BLLs) at or above 5 micrograms per deciliter (µg/dL) globally. This paper reports potential risks early life later life. articles used this study searched databases Springer, Science Direct, Hindawi, MDPI, Google Scholar, PubMed academic databases. low income middle-income countries (LMICs) high-income (HICs) reported, with former being more affected. intake certain nutrients play an essential role reducing (e.g., calcium iron) increasing high fat foods) absorption Elevated may disturb cells' biological metabolism by replacing beneficial ions body calcium, magnesium, iron sodium. Once are replaced lead, can brain disorders, resulting reduced IQ, learning difficulties, attention span some behavioral problems. Exposure age development critical problems is because metal harmful even lasting irreversible effect humans. Precautionary measures should put place prevent future exposure. These will go long way safeguarding everyone, most young ones.

Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) faces chronic food insecurity associated with soil degradation and the peculiar aftermath of climate change exacerbated by rising population historically poor agricultural practices. Notably, use mineral fertilizers has potential to counteract in SSA; it drives an increased production required feed while sustaining quality health soils. However, limited financial resources deprive SSA promise fertilizers, wherein application rates are low, regimes characterized unbalanced nutrient composition fertilizer quality. Although current global is generally low efficiency, most affected due already usage available products. About 70% fertilizer-nitrogen lost through unregulated transformation ammonia, nitrous oxide, nitrate that either volatilized or emitted into atmosphere leached water bodies. Similarly, preponderance fertilizer-phosphorus via run-off leaching, unavailing plants overloading streams rivers and, together nitrate, causing eutrophication. These environmental problems accentuated where quantity issues a limiting factor. recent advances happening outside indicate nutrients, when strategically formulated, such as nano packaging, (bio)polymer encapsulation, tunable respond cues, can provide multiple outcomes, particularly, healthy soils higher productivity. Therefore, presumably, proper synthesis gamut properties influencing plant release availability, options for exposure uptake critical realizing these benefits SSA. Despite possibilities, there lack deeper context on fertilizer-related they affect nutrition security This paper provides overview fertilizer-nutrient agronomic, challenges opportunities, which though not exclusive per se, be reasoned peculiarity region. impetus increase improve health, sustainable crop production,

The agricultural sector is a vital source of human well-being that provides the necessities daily life. A variety farming systems are utilized in agriculture, such as wide range tillage options, no-till, agroforestry, precision farming, organic cover cropping, crop rotations, etc. Each these has unique challenges, and nanotechnology successfully improved on many them. Agricultural applications include nanofertilizers, nanopesticides, nanosensors, nanobiotechnology, nanoremediation. This study focuses application nano-farming technologies to different systems. Suggested practices nano improvement soil quality, nano-protection under biotic stress, nanoremediation polluted water environments, nanomanagement agro-wastes, nano-agrochemicals, nano-precision nanobiotechnology for modern farming. review also addresses expected problems may occur due over nanomaterials systems, nanopollution nanotoxicity agroecosystem compartments. Several dimensions emphasized this study, green energy, sustainable development, circular bioeconomy, land biodegradation, pollution, one health approach, essential global goals development. Nanofarming presents both benefits obstacles exact balance between challenges needs more study.

Heavy metals entered in the soil from numerous sources and reduce crop growth, productivity, quality of environment. Uptake heavy by plants microorganisms is synchronized through influences many factors, such as complex soil–plant microorganism processes. Soil are closely associated with fertility considered important indicators healthy soils. Various have different strategies mechanisms for survival metal-contaminated environments biosorption, secretion compounds that form complexes metals. The present paper reviewed recent literature pertaining to metal uptake tolerance most microbial genera viz Aeromonas, Bacillus, Pseudomonas. This review also focused on adaptations selected polluted habitats which may be helpful maintaining conditions agricultural Overall, this provided comprehensive knowledge metals, their effects living organisms, resistance bacterial genera.

There is a nexus of seven inter-linked global existential challenges; Soil Security and Food are two these. The established concept well defined researched, whereas the emerging building its currency globally. Addressing provides means to improve food, fibre water quality in sustainable manner, through enhanced soil care development best land-management practices. fragile resource which degraded many parts world. rapidly growing population has placed further pressure on accommodate increased demand for soil-derived materials. Such pressures accelerating degradation so novel approaches needed. Literature search within this review demonstrated be convergence disciplines. To truly identify solutions challenges faced either realm, an interdisciplinary approach seeking understand deeper interactions between concepts Driven by need, our sought investigate such Security. Following assessment these interactions, four potential were discussed included intensification management, digital agriculture, circularisation reducing food trajectory care. interconnected will help facilitate implementation above solutions, needed take connection into account.
