ABSTRACT Epilepsy affects at least 1% of the global population all socioeconomic backgrounds. Data obtained from previous studies suggest role mTOR signaling in epileptogenesis. The present study aimed to investigate hypothesis that inhibitor sulfamethizole might produce antiepileptic effects pentylenetetrazole (PTZ)‐induced kindling seizures mice. For induction kindling, mice were administered 40 mg/kg PTZ on alternate days for 13 days. severity was analyzed using a seizure intensity score. Although there are numerous options for epilepsy treatment, its effective control continues unsatisfactory. Thus, search alternative therapeutic to improve the efficacy/safety binomial of drugs becomes very attractive investigate. In this context, intranasal administration antiseizure formulated on state-of-the-art nanosystems can be a promising strategy. This work gives comprehensive overview different developed and evaluated preclinical studies over last 10 years published in 'PubMed' 'Web Science' databases. Additionally, it highlights their pharmaceutical critical quality attributes vivo pharmacological outputs that might infer possible results when transposing clinical trials. The International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) has provided recommendations on the terminology of medicines for control seizure disorders, which should be adapted into different languages.
