ABSTRACT Aim Positive mental health (PMH) can be considered a key aspect of in the face potentially stressful healthcare situations such as COVID‐19 pandemic. The aim this study was to analyse psychometric properties Spanish version Mental Health Scale (PMS) nurses during Design Descriptive analysis, confirmatory factor gender invariance analysis and convergent divergent analyses were performed, reliability indices calculated. Methods A total 661 (425 women 236 men) participated study. They completed various questionnaires August–October 2021. Results Factor demonstrated unidimensional structure with very good model fit, high positive validity, especially social support, self‐efficacy resilience suicide attempts, validity anxiety and, lesser extent, depression. There also strong between genders indices. In conclusion, data show that PMS has adequate nurses. Furthermore, allows us confirm invariance, which not been examined other studies. is suitable measure for assessing professionals exposed high‐stress situations.
