Background/Objectives: Universities, particularly in nursing education, have evolved to incorporate University Social Responsibility (USR) into their curricula, emphasizing ethical, social, and sustainable competencies, which align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) enhance healthcare education. The study examines socially responsible behaviors, ethical sustainability values among students private universities Santiago, Chile, relation sociodemographic variables. Methods: measures social responsibility at universities, accredited co-financed by State using ICOSORE-U questionnaire, statistical analyses such as EFA CFA validate scale evaluate correlations Results: validated ICOSORE-U-10 for Chilean through both exploratory confirmatory factor analysis. results revealed a two-factor structure an acceptable internal reliability (α = 0.841), no significant differences related findings confirmed that behaviors are positively correlated development of competencies these students. ABSTRACT The digitalisation of healthcare is transforming nursing practice, presenting unique opportunities and challenges that demand more than technical competence from professionals. Despite the growing integration digital tools, remains in ‘foothills transformation’, with significant gaps critical theoretical frameworks required to navigate this shift effectively. This article explores how Paulo Freire's pedagogy may address these by fostering skills students. Drawing on concepts problem‐posing education, conscientization, dialogue praxis, proposes a pedagogical model encourages students critically examine socio‐political ethical implications tools within their practice.
