BackgroundDespite extensive findings on the hazardous impacts of environmental heat exposure, little is known about effect people with disabilities. This study aimed to estimate association between exposure and emergency department admissions for disabilities compared without disabilities.MethodsIn this nationwide, case-crossover study, we linked data (cases) any cause in warm season South Korea from Korean National Health Insurance Service (NHIS)–National Sample Cohort database (a nationally representative 1 million systematically sampled beneficiaries covering all ages) Jan 1, 2002, Dec 31, 2019, short-term daily mean temperature (measured via Google Earth Engine at a 9 km spatial grid, aggregated district). We defined as those who were registered disabled NHIS; included our physical disability, brain lesion disorders, blindness or vision loss, deafness hearing loss. Abstract Background Psychotropic medication is frequently administered to people with intellectual disability mental health and/or behavioural problems, instead of other non‐pharmacological interventions. Abstract Background In people with intellectual disabilities and mental disorders and/or challenging behaviours, rates of psychotropic drug prescription are high. clinical treatments evaluations, all stakeholders should be involved in a process shared decision‐making (SDM). We aimed to investigate the perspectives clients their carers on clients’ drugs. Methods conducted survey among adults Dutch healthcare centre providing community, outpatient inpatient care. Data were collected between January June 2022. Questions focused experiences provision information, treatment involvement SDM participants' wishes this regard. Findings Respondents (57 21 carers) largely satisfied overall care from clinicians, how information pharmacological was provided verbally, but written insufficient or not provided. Seventy per cent 60% reported being medication decision‐making. However, over 75% participants desired greater reviews. Conclusions Service users representatives about verbal use. The ongoing evaluation use could improved.

International current best practice recommends the discontinuation of antipsychotics for challenging behaviours in people with intellectual disabilities (ID), due to lack evidence efficacy and risks harmful side-effects. In clinical practice, may be difficult. The aim this study was gain insight into prescribers’ by investigating their experiences long-term behaviour. From professionals’ associations thirty-four registered ID physicians, psychiatrists specialist mental healthcare nurses were recruited who completed an online questionnaire survey–study. Almost all participants had attempted deprescribe patients ID. Sixty-five percent achieved complete 0–25% patients, but none over 50%. Barriers a non-pharmaceutical treatments caregivers’ and/or family concern.
