Background/Objectives: Maladaptive emotion regulation (ER) and dysregulation (ED) have long been associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) as etiological maintaining factors. Despite building interest in the field along ancillary research into “rage OCD” (likely an example of ED), targeting relationship between OCD ER/ED has understudied pediatric populations. The aim this review was to elucidate current state literature regarding ER/ED, its OCD, related interventions. Methods: A scoping examined how are particularly populations, efficacy interventions affect for youth, a focus on youth diagnosed OCD. Results: total 182 publications were reviewed. While not always consistent, majority studies found significant measures ER or ED broadly, well specific symptom dimensions. number previously existing interventions, adaptations those newly presented youth; however, few effectively targeted specifically. As such, mechanism change is understood.
