ABSTRACT There is a dual interplay between the environment and healthcare, which associated with around 6% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, high water consumption, large volumes waste. Dermatology encompasses peculiarities such as extensive use topicals cosmeceuticals, specific procedural treatments, wide range activities spanning from dermatopathology to biologicals. Some these aspects might bear significant environmental footprint, has been characterized insufficiently until this point. According recent data, greatest share overall GHG emissions outpatient dermatology purchased goods services, followed by patient travel waste, paralleling health sector overall. To address topics, six working groups on climate change or sustainability exist within following associations: American Academy (AAD), Australasian College Dermatologists (ACD), British Association (BAD), European Venerology (EADV), German Society (DDG), International (ISD). Member include scientific projects (original research review articles, symposia in national conferences), provision educational materials for trainees peers, advocacy. should be familiar impact daily practice available resources more information.
