This mini-review presents our current understanding of serotonin type 7 receptor research focusing on the possible network mechanisms underlying behavioral action antagonists. The is expressed widely throughout nervous system and known to be involved in various cognitive physiological mechanisms. It became a clinically significant target after discovery that its selective antagonist SB 269970 can exert rapid-onset antidepressant effects either alone or combination with lower doses conventional drugs. Further has shown administration effectively counteract negative neurobiological outcomes chronic stress paradigms. authors hope they introduce wider scientific audience this promising pharmacological which, if successful, could time lead more discoveries better biology as well clinical potential. Objective: Depressive symptoms are prevalent and detrimental in elderly patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Understanding the factors influencing these is crucial. This study aims to use machine learning algorithms identify contributing this population. Method: The National Health Nutrition Examination Survey database provided data for study. includes who eligible diagnostic evaluation OSA. Logistic regression was used screen their factors, random forest (RF), extreme gradient boosting (XGB), artificial neural network (ANN), support vector (SVM) were utilized 4 construct depressive classification models, best model performance selected feature importance ranking. Influential included demographics (age, gender, education, etc.), chronic disease status (diabetes, hypertension, laboratory findings (white blood cells, C-reactive protein, cholesterol, etc.). Result: Ultimately, we chose 1538 OSA study, out of which 528 (34.4%) suffered from symptoms. initially identified 17 then constructed models based on those using RF, XGB, ANN, SVM. We best-performing SVM [area under curve (AUC) = 0.746] AUC values 0.73, 0.735, 0.742, 0.746 models. ranked variables order importance: General health status, disorders, frequency urinary incontinence, liver disease, physical activity limitations, moisture, eosinophils, erythrocyte distribution width, hearing loss. Conclusion: Elderly experience a high incidence symptoms, influenced by various objective subjective factors. situation troubling, healthcare institutions policymakers must prioritize mental health. should implement targeted initiatives improve high-risk groups multiple dimensions.
