ABSTRACT Touchscreen‐based methodologies have enabled significant advancements in cognitive neuroscience by providing standardized, translationally relevant assessments of advanced functions rodent models. This special issue highlights the potential these systems to bridge animal and human research, insights into neurochemical biological mechanisms underlying cognition. The included studies explore diverse applications, from understanding impacts chronic stress maternal immune activation evaluating effectiveness novel therapeutics assessing cross‐species testing approaches that enhance translational relevance. By combining touchscreen technologies with cutting‐edge like electrophysiology open science databases, contributions underscore critical role automated advancing research.
