Abstract Purpose To examine the cerebro‐placental‐uterine ratio (CPUR) in pregnant women with pregestational diabetes and determine its role predicting adverse prenatal outcomes. Methods This prospective, cohort study conducted at a tertiary hospital included 65 patients (25 type1 diabetes, 40 type2 diabetes) 130 low‐risk control group. The cerebroplacental (CPR) CPUR were calculated. Composite perinatal outcome (CAPO) is defined as presence of any following: (1) Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admission, (2) Apgar 5 min <7, (3) umbilical cord arterial pH <7.10. relationship CPR CAPO was investigated. Results significantly lower group than NICU admission higher case In receiver operating characteristic analyses, optimal cut‐off value 1.46 (AUC = 0.72, p 0.003, 80% sensitivity, 69% specificity) to predict 1.50 for 0.70, 0.013, 77% 66% specificity). Conclusion Low values found be associated outcomes diabetes. With increasing number studies, expected utilized more widely routine obstetric practice.

Background: Congenital pneumonia is a common respiratory disease in newborns, often influenced by obstetric factors. Clinical diagnosis can be delayed, prompting interest using systemic inflammatory indicators to predict various diseases. Objective: Our aim was evaluate the predictive value of maternal before delivery for congenital newborns. Methods: This retrospective study included full-term, singleton infants born at Affiliated Huaian No. 1 People’s Hospital Nanjing Medical University between January 2017 and December 2022. Infants admitted neonatal department within 48 h birth were divided into two groups: 46 with clinical (the observation group) 65 without control group). Maternal peripheral blood, complete blood cell count, general condition 72 delivery, as well admission data recorded. Systemic assessed. Receiver operating characteristic curves used pneumonia. A prediction model constructed combining logistic regression. The association this prognosis examined. Results: markers regression jointly NLR, MLR, SII, SIRI, PIV predicted occurrence better. correlated severity neonates. Conclusions: have neonates, aiding early identification treatment.

It remains unclear whether gestational weight gain (GWG) during pregnancy is associated with Omicron infection in pregnant women. To investigate an increased risk of infection. This a retrospective case-control study women from The Third Affiliated Hospital Sun Yat-sen University December 1 to 31, 2022. Pregnant infected were compared those uninfected using chi-square statistics for categorical variables and t-tests or ANOVA continuous variables. This research seeks to ascertain the prevalence and determinants of mirror-image dextrocardia in fetuses. With December 2022 as reference point, we compiled colleted data on pregnant women who carried fetuses with Xi'an, Shaanxi Province: September-October 2022, November 2022-January 2023. An online questionnaire was distributed 209 across China had contracted COVID-19. The case group comprised whose final menstrual cycle occurred a fetus dextrocardia. Women period without this condition made up control group. To identify risk factors associated fetal dextrocardia, both univariate multivariate logistic regression analyses were employed. A significant difference noted gestational age at COVID-19 infection September October January 2023 did not bear those exhibited condition. conducted revealed differences presence duration fever between bearing (P = 0.000). findings suggest two critical increased dextrocardia: 1) timing which occurs 4th 6th week pregnancy 2) its prolonged duration.
