Objectives: To assess the prevalence of sleep disturbance among patients evaluated at a clinic for afflicted with Post-acute sequelae COVID-19 (PASC). Methods: Sleep was assessed Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System-Sleep Disturbance (PROMIS-SD) framework adult PASC clinic. Results: Among 312 patients, mean age 46.2 years, and 70.2% were women. About 41.0% had no disturbance; mild to moderate in 51.3% severe 7.7%. PROMIS-SD score negatively correlated time from initial positive test consultation (Pearson r = −.094; 2 .0088). Conclusions: The PROMIS-Sleep can serve as tool burden disturbances patients.

Preliminary evidence suggests that the risk of Long COVID is higher among people with pre-existing medical conditions. Based on its proven adjuvant role in immunity, habitual sleep duration may alter developing COVID. The objective this study was to determine whether odds are those conditions, and strength association varies by duration.

COVID-19 pandemic waves have strongly influenced individuals' behaviors and mental health. Here, we analyzed longitudinal data collected in the Spring 2020 2021 from a large Italian sample with aim of assessing changes dream features between first third wave. Specifically, evaluated modifications activity as function general distress variations over time. Also, detected best explanatory variables nightmare frequency distress.Participants previously involved web survey during wave were asked to complete new online on sleep available (N=728). Subjects decreasing their level psychological (T3) vs (T1) defined "Improved" (N=330). In contrast, participants an unchanged or increased "Not Improved" (N=398).Statistical comparisons revealed that recall frequency, lucid emotional intensity show reduction T3 than T1. Moreover, Improved group is characterized by lower rate Not people. Our findings confirmed beyond trait-like (ie, age, sex), specific sleep-related measures are related features. particular, poor hygiene was one determinants among subjects. Our people experienced adaptation We also strengthen notion nightmares time human well-being, suggesting factors could modulate relationship health

Coronaviruses are neurotropic viruses capable of entering the brain through various mechanisms and generating an important inflammatory response that is triggering neuropsychiatric manifestations. Several reports describe appearance different conditions, such as sleep problems, anxiety depression disorders, acute psychotic encephalitis, delirium, among others, associated with COVID-19 infection. We performed a literature review in PubMed, Springer, Nature, MDPI, other scientific journals on relationship between infection development aggravation manifestations explained by molecular changes secondary to SARS-CoV-2 where it was found there virus these Prospective follow-up people exposed at points their lives, well neuroimmunological status, necessary fully understand long-term impact mental health. It required identify risk developing problems due provide better medical care from multidisciplinary team improve prognosis patients treatment sequelae.

Abstract Background Self-rated health (SRH) is widely recognized as a clinically significant predictor of subsequent mortality risk. Although COVID-19 may impair SRH, this relationship has not been extensively examined. The present study aimed to examine the correlation between habitual sleep duration, changes in duration after infection, and SRH subjects who have experienced SARS-CoV-2 infection. Methods Participants from 16 countries participated International COVID Sleep Study-II (ICOSS-II) online survey 2021. A total 10,794 these participants were included analysis, including 1,509 individuals (who reported that they had tested positive for COVID-19). was evaluated using 0-100 linear visual analog scale. Habitual durations < 6 h > 9 defined short long respectively. Changes infection ≤ -2 ≥ 1 decreased or increased, Results with lower scores than non-infected participants, those more severe tendency towards even scores. In multivariate regression analysis COVID-19, both increased significantly associated controlling quality ( β = − 0.056 0.058, respectively, p 0.05); however, associations current negligible. Multinomial logistic showed related fatigue (odds ratio [OR] 1.824, 0.01), shortness breath (OR 1.725, 0.05), diarrhea/nausea/vomiting 2.636, hallucinations 5.091, while 1.900, 0.01). Conclusions following SRH. Decreased might bidirectional relation post-COVID-19 symptoms. Further research needed better understand mechanisms underlying relationships order improve COVID-19.
