Objective The environment noise in hospitals significantly influences patients’ psychological states. This study aimed to investigate the effect of waiting area a gastrointestinal endoscopy department on negative emotions. Methods retrospective was conducted clinical data 126 patients undergoing Cangnan Hospital Wenzhou Medical University from January December 2023. were divided into low-noise group (noise level <50 dB, n = 62) and high-noise nts 64) according average levels area. Anxiety (numeric rating scale [NRS]) emotions (negative affect [NA] scores positive NA schedules) compared between groups. Pearson correlation analysis assess emotional Results exhibited higher NRS (distress, angry, fearful, jittery) than those group. Correlation revealed correlations feelings anxiety ( r 0.303, P 0.002), distress 0.289, 0.003), angry 0.298, fearful 0.280, 0.004), jittery 0.302, 0.002). Conclusion Reducing departments may improve Measures such as optimizing layouts installing sound barriers can reduce enhance experience.

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of an architectural redesign and a multicomponent intervention bundle on noise reduction enhance workplace safety. Quasi-experimental with time-series intensified design conducted in intermediate care unit. Two interventions were sequential introduced: installation partition wall medication preparation room (architectural redesign) implementation bundle. Effects outcomes evaluated comparing baseline, after (period-1) (period-2). Intermediate A-weighted sound levels (LAeq), alarms/day/bed, annoyance ratings (numeric rating scale 0-10) number distractions nurses during process. LAeq baseline vs period-1, decreased area from 56.8 (±5.0) 53.7 (±7.2) dBA (p < 0.001) nursing station 54.3 (±4.0) 0.001). During period-2, further was minimal absent. Background and objective: Although quiet time is implemented in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) for the benefit of infants, it may also positively impact psychological outcomes healthcare professionals. Several studies have examined quiet-time implementation on patients; however, there a paucity research assessing its NICU nurses, particularly Saudi Arabia. Objective methods: This study aimed to assess (stress, anxiety, depression) nurses Jeddah, A cross-sectional design was used this study. total 87 from two hospitals participated One group did not practice time, while second did. questionnaire survey assessed participants’ demographic characteristics, their depression, stress were using scale-21 (DASS-21). The data analyzed frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (SD). Bivariate analysis, independent t-tests, one-way analysis variance test differences between variables groups. Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) analyze relationships continuous perceived stress, depression. Results: substantial number depression; no significant depression who worked NICUs that applied (P ≤ 0.05). Conclusion: found statistically relationship or among nurses. Further with larger sample size increased be required.

Objective: Noise is a kind of perceived public nuisance that closely related to people’s subjective feelings and lives. This study explores the clinical application effect comprehensive noise reduction technology in outpatients with vitiligo. Methods: A total 76 patients vitiligo were selected Department Dermatology at Baoding No. 2 Central Hospital from January 2020 2021, as control group (CG), receiving 5S management mode, 80 February 2021 October 2022 (SG), combined mode for this retrospective study. The effects different modes on these observed. Results: SG had higher nursing quality scores service attitude, initiative, communication skills, environmental item overtly lower level than CG (all P < 0.001). Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) two groups end treatment significantly those admission ( 0.05), showing score Correlation analysis showed levels HAMA positive correlation r = 0.423, Patients negative about medical caused by various sources obviously less 0.05). Both statistical difference overall satisfaction Conclusion: investigation data demonstrated considerable effect. can standardise behaviour staff, enhance quality, reduce alleviate patients’ anxiety improve their satisfaction. Abstract Background Critical care nurses should help in reducing noise to improve the well‐being of patients and health providers. Aim/s To measure actual levels intensive units, identify nurses' perceived irritation sources examine impact on work performance well‐being. Study design This cross‐sectional study was conducted from January April 2023 at a teaching hospital's six units. It involved three phases: mapping locations for measurement, measurements decibels survey perceptions adverse effects noise. Actual measured between patients' beds, nursing stations beside 16 7 days 24 h day. For nurse perceptions, mean by Likert scale each source calculated present levels. Ranking according done based values. Curve estimation regression test used predict relationship stepwise multiple linear identified factors associated with effects. Results The level units 65.55 dB. Nurses mechanical ventilator alarms as most irritating However, showed that conversations among colleagues were primary There no significant predictive reported feeling distressed, irritable, fatigued less productive due Conclusions discrepancy nurses. Perceived had more than Relevance clinical practice By incorporating both objective subjective into efforts aimed noise, providers can create quieter
