One
of
the
most
urgent
challenges
arising
in
bioethics
has
been
ethical
assessment
use
brain
organoids,
largely
because
possibility
sentience
and
potential
that
if
they
can
feel,
then
might
suffer.
But
while
there
is
a
growing
literature
on
organoids
why
we
should
take
precautionary
approach
towards
them,
very
little
guidance
what
it
would
mean
to
protect
their
welfare.
In
this
paper,
address
omission
by
exploring
question
welfare

organoid

like,
how
could
scientifically
assess
question.
As

these
are
difficult
questions

given
current
lack
empirical
data
