Interpersonal firearm violence (IFV) has been connected to the structural racism of redlining. We explored relationship between historic redlining and IFV with population-level factors. A cross-sectional study within historically graded neighborhoods was performed, incidence rate ratios (IRRs) these were modeled a Poisson regression model. Comparing redlined non-redlined neighborhoods, IRRs adjusted for income 14.9 (p < 0.0001), poverty 14.4 uninsured 15.6 IFV-related mortality 26.05 0.0001). After county adjustment, every one unit increase in logarithm decreases by 64.7 % whereas percent uninsured, increases rates 4.1 0.0001) 3.05 0.0002), respectively. Historically communities have higher Kansas City, Kansas.

Importance Research suggests the social, physical, and socioeconomic contexts of residing in segregated neighborhoods may negatively affect mental health. Objective To assess association between racial residential segregation prenatal health among Asian, Black, Hispanic, White individuals. Design, Setting, Participants This population-based cross-sectional study was conducted Kaiser Permanente Northern California (KPNC), an integrated care delivery system. included self-identified pregnant individuals who attended at least 1 visit KPNC January 1, 2014, December 31, 2019. Data were analyzed from 14, 2023, to August 15, 2024. Exposures Racial segregation, defined by local Getis-Ord Gi* statistic, calculated each ethnic group categorized as low (<0), medium (0-1.96), or high (>1.96). A positive statistic indicates overrepresentation (greater clustering segregation) index census tract neighboring tracts compared with larger surrounding geographic area. Main Outcomes Measures Prenatal depression anxiety diagnoses codes documented electronic record first day last menstrual period prior birth. Results Among 201 115 participants analysis (mean [SD] age, 30.8 [5.3] years; 26.8% 6.6% 28.0% 38.6% White), highest Black (18.3% 18.4%, respectively), followed (16.0% 18.2%, Hispanic (13.0% 14.4%, Asian (5.7% 6.4%, respectively) (40.8% vs 31.1%) (43.3% 22.6%) more likely live while equally (34.3% 34.7%). Objective In this study, we examined associations between county-level measures of structural racism and cancer incidence mortality rates race groups while accounting for factors associated with environmental burden. Methods To explore relationship, conducted multiple linear regression analyses. Data these analyses came from an index publicly available data on 2015 to 2019 age-adjusted the US Cancer Statistics Visualization Tool, County Health Rankings Roadmaps, Environmental Protection Agency’s 2006 2010 Quality Index, estimates Census American Community Survey. Results County-level was higher county among Black (adjusted rate: 17.4, 95% confidence interval [95% CI]: 9.3, 25.5) Asian/Pacific Islander populations CI: 1.8, 16.9) Indian/Alaskan Native rate [AMR]: 4.2, 30.6), (AMR: 11.9, 8.9, 14.8), 4.7, 1.3, 8.1) than White populations. Background This study examines the longitudinal patterns of dental care use from adolescence to middle adulthood (ages 11–43) and investigates racial ethnic disparities in these patterns. Methods Data Waves I through V National Longitudinal Study Adolescent Adult Health (1993–2018; ages 11–43). Semiparametric group-based trajectory model identified distinct trajectories. Multinomial logistic regression was used estimate membership groups by race/ethnicity while accounting for covariates, including socioeconomic status, biological sex, nativity unmet healthcare needs. Results The analysis four trajectories (1): Intermittent decreasing (37.9%), (2) intermittent increasing (22.5%), (3) high (22.5%) (4) low (17.0%). Non-Hispanic black Hispanic respondents were more likely than non-Hispanic white belong relative use. Additionally, Increasing Dental Use group. Higher status inversely associated with group membership. Males those needs at Wave also Conclusions Findings reveal persistent into adulthood. Further research is needed understand individual structural factors perpetuating over life course.
