Abstract Background This study aimed to assess the public knowledge regarding Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) in Zhuhai, China, focusing on identifying gaps and influence of demographic health factors. Methods A cross-sectional was conducted from October November 2022. total 1986 residents 18 communities were selected employing stratified multi-stage equi-proportional sampling. Questionnaires covering general information Knowledge Scale (ADKS) investigated face-to-face. Ordinal multiclass logistic regression applied relationship between AD awareness characteristics. Results The average ADKS score 18.5 (SD = 3.36) Zhuhai. lowest rates observed “Symptoms” “Caregiving” subdomains ADKS, with 51.01% 43.78%, respectively. correct for 30 questions ranged 16.62 92.6%, showing a bimodal pattern clusters around 80% 20%. Women (OR 1.203, 95% CI: 1.009–1.435), individuals aged 60 years or older 2.073, 1.467–2.932), those living urban areas 1.361, 1.117–1.662), higher monthly household income per capita 1.641, 1.297–2.082), without any neurological mental disorders 1.810, 1.323–2.478) more likely have levels about disease. Conclusions Adults Zhuhai show limited AD, particularly ‘Symptoms’ ‘Caregiving’ subdomains. Upcoming campaigns must focus bridging different especially among subgroups lower awareness, as identified our study.
