Introduction Quinoa ( Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) is a food crop highly valued for being nutritious and health-promoting. As grains contain more oil than cereals, the fatty acid profile an important nutritional criterion. The tocopherol family, with vitamin E anti-inflammatory properties, are also relevant compounds quality of quinoa. Currently, information on genetic diversity these in germplasm limited. Methods Fatty contents profiles were analyzed, using gas chromatography HPLC, respectively, seeds 126 accessions from diverse origins grown two locations Spain 2021 2022, following completely randomised block design three replications. Results exhibited wide all traits analysed, showing contrasting acids tocopherols. Considering data averaged over four environments, particularly variation was observed total acid, 1.0 to 4.4% grain weight; oleic 13.4 32.3% acids; linoleic 48.0 67.4%; linolenic 1.8 8.4%; content, 22.3 121.6 mg kg -1 grain; α-tocopherol, 24.6 81.4% tocopherols; γ-tocopherol, from, 18.6 75.4%. Broad-sense heritability (H 2 ) found be high content (0.86) concentrations α- γ-tocopherol (0.84). For most other traits, H ranged 0.65 0.77. Principal component analysis successfully separated highland Bolivia Peru lowland Chile USA. Discussion existence profile, germplasm, together medium suggests feasibility improving characters through breeding.
