Although transcrestal sinus floor elevation (TSFE) is widely used for cases of insufficient residual bone height in the posterior maxilla, few studies focus on risk factors early implant failure associated with TSFE procedures. This study aimed to identify and summarize possible ensure a more predictable survival rate using TSFE. We report treatment patient following discuss this case's factors. A standard diameter 4.8 mm length 10 was after procedure. Implant loosening suddenly observed 6 weeks initial surgery. Factors that could result included patient-related factors, anatomical operational area, operation- implant-related Within current study's limitations, graft material particles between surface socket be considered direct factor resulting failure. Therefore, attention should paid cleaning during procedure, loose particulate grafting materials discouraged. Another significant consideration loss possibility fractures buccal or palatal cortical plates site preparation insertion. Thus, these studied further receive clinical attention.

The rat calvaria defect a standardized model study bone regeneration. It remains, however, unclear if appropriate investigate impact human PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) on To this end, we soaked Bio-Gide® collagen membranes or liquid concentrated before placing them onto 5 mm calvarial defects Sprague Dawley rats. Three weeks later, histology and micro-computed tomography (μCT) were performed. We observed that with show characteristic features new areas mineralized matrix, indicated by median volume 1.5 mm3 (range: 0.9; 5.3 mm3). Histology revealed growing underneath membrane hybrid where fibers are embedded bone. Moreover, passive mineralization observed. PRF, devoid histological formation center defect; only occasionally, formed at margins. Human (h-PRF) caused 0.9 0.3-3.3 mm3), which was significantly lower than what (r-PRF), BV 1.2 0.3-5.9 Our findings indicate suitable for assessing effects formation, but caution warranted when extrapolating conclusions regarding efficacy PRF.
