Abstract Background Exosomes and other secretory membrane vesicles, collectively referred to as extracellular vesicles (EVs), have garnered increasing attention in research due their biological characteristics. Notably, studies shown promising results regarding the role of stem cell‐derived (SC‐EVs) skin plastic surgery applications. This study aims elucidate current trends SC‐EVs within context offer insights for future directions advancing this critical field. Methods A comprehensive search was conducted relevant on spanning from 2003 2023, utilizing Web Science database. Subsequently, data analysis performed using VOSviewer CiteSpace. Results total 1089 were identified, with a noticeable annual increase publications SC‐EVs' application surgery. China emerged leading contributor field, Shanghai Jiao Tong University being notable institution. Stem Cell Research & Therapy International Journal Molecular Sciences top journals publishing articles. Author Fu Xiaobing Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital had highest publication count area. Keyword co‐occurrence revealed six distinct clusters, “exosomes” most prevalent keyword recent years. Wound healing rejuvenation primary focuses hotspots Conclusion review offers into global surrounding Analysis journals, institutions, references, keywords provides valuable guidance researchers determining directions.
