This paper proposes a tri-band wide-angle polarization-insensitive absorber operating in the C-band and Ku-band, based on design concept of metal–dielectric–metal. The achieves absorption efficiencies 99.05%, 99.3%, 97.9% at 4.23 GHz, 7.403 14.813 respectively. first two frequencies are C-band, while third frequency is both which commonly used satellite communication. designed consists three differently sized regular hexagonal rings. To analyze interaction mechanism between electromagnetic wave absorber, we applied theory impedance matching equivalent media to metamaterial properties absorber. In addition, circuit model has been analyzed. We then determined existence coupled resonances top bottom surfaces by analyzing distribution electric field, magnetic surface currents By varying polarization angle incident incoming wave, found that exhibits insensitivity characteristics. TE TM waves maintain more than 90% efficiency up angles 50° 60°, absorber’s thickness 1.07 mm, 0.0154 times wavelength corresponding lowest resonant (λ0), edge length subunit’s hexagon 7.5 mm (0.108λ0), making sub-wavelength scale maintaining its compactness. proposed operates can be field communications, achieving functions such as shielding stealth.
