Forty male players participated were divided into four equal groups performing PT aquatic (APT), sand (SPT), land (LPT) surfaces, or an active control group (CON). All indicated small large significant (p = 0.001) improvements countermovement vertical jump (CMVJ), standing long (SLJ), spike jump, block 10-m sprint, T-test, maximal after 6 weeks progressive volume-based overload comparison CON < 0.05). Both APT (standardized mean difference [SMD] 0.97, p 0.01) SPT (SMD 1.10, 0.04) exhibited superior advancements compared LPT CMVJ performance. Notably, displayed significantly greater than SLJ 0.31, 0.043), sprint -0.63, 0.028), -0.46, 0.022) 0.61, 0.03) Based these results, it is recommended that incorporating induced benefits CMVJ, while application suggested for enhancing linear method.

Despite widespread implementation of core training in athletic preparation, evidence regarding its effectiveness across different sports and performance domains remains fragmented. This meta-analysis examined the effects on multiple sports, addressing limitations previous analyses that focused single or limited measures. Following PRISMA guidelines, we conducted a systematic review five databases (PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, SPORTDiscus, Google Scholar). We assessed methodological quality using PEDro scale risk bias Cochrane tool. Eligibility criteria included randomized controlled trials published between 2014-2024 involving healthy athletes aged 15-25 years, with as primary intervention. From an initial 1,670 records identified, 29 studies met rigorous inclusion criteria, comprising 956 15-23 years. Core demonstrated significant improvements general (SMD = 1.38, 95% CI [0.85, 1.82], p < 0.001), notably strong endurance 1.32, [0.57, 2.08], 0.004) balance 0.99, [0.29, 1.69], 0.01). revealed moderate but insignificant sport-specific 0.62, [-0.08, 1.31], 0.084). The analysis non-significant outcomes: speed -0.28 [-0.86, 0.31], 0.28); maximal strength 7.57 [-7.75, 22.89], 0.27); flexibility 0.48 [-0.76, 1.73], 0.3); change direction 0.10 [-0.56, 0.76], 0.69); technical skill 0.71 [-4.38, 5.81], 0.75); throwing velocity/distance 1.52 [-0.43, 3.48], 0.1) vertical jump height 0.90 [-0.23, 2.03], 0.1). high heterogeneity outcomes (I2 37-100%) indicates responses vary substantially depending competitive level, intervention duration, contexts, suggesting need for carefully tailored approaches. demonstrates effectively improves foundational qualities shows variable findings suggest should be integrated optimal enhancement. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) interventions are typically prescribed according to several laboratory-based parameters and fixed reference intensities accurately calibrate exercise intensity. Repeated all-out printing efforts, or sprint training, is another form of HIIT that without individual intensity as it performed in maximal intensities. No previous study has a systematic review meta-analysis investigate the effect SIT on cardiometabolic health markers children adolescents. This study compared inter-individual variability in the adaptive responses of cardiorespiratory fitness, anaerobic power, and motor abilities male volleyball players to high-intensity interval training (HIIT) prescribed as repetitive drop jumps (interval jumping) running-based intervals running). Twenty-four collegiate were equally randomized two groups executing 11 minutes running or jumping during which they ran repeated drop-jumps for 15 seconds, alternating with seconds passive recovery. Before after 6-week period, aerobic cardiac function, power evaluated using a graded exercise test, impedance cardiography, lower-body Wingate respectively. Additionally, linear speed, agility, tests determined abilities. Both interventions significantly enhanced maximum oxygen uptake (V̇O2max), velocity associated V̇O2max, first second ventilatory thresholds (VT1 & VT2), maximal output (Q̇max), stroke volume (SVmax), peak average output, vertical jump, change direction, sprint speed. Interval group demonstrated greater improvement squat jump (p = 0.001; 95% CI: 2.51-5.42) countermovement 2.11-4.61) group. Conversely, elicited enhancement speed 0.002; 2.53-5.71) than Examining individual residual revealed that induced more homogenized adaptations across individuals VT1 0.04; 0.03-1.33), Q̇max 0.03; 0.04-1.64), SVmax 0.02-1.75), 0.01; 0.72-1.95) contrast jumping. However, uniformity response surpassed 0.02; 0.08-1.32). Although both modalities effectively improved mentioned variables concurrently, tailoring HIIT intervention reference intensity modality specific each quality may enhance measured quality.

This study aimed to examine the impact of different set configurations during combination resistance and plyometric training (complex [COX]) on jumping ability, power output, strength, hormonal adaptations in young male volleyball players after a 6-week period. A randomized controlled trial was conducted with twenty-four trained under age 19, who were assigned one two groups for lower-body COX training: cluster sets (CS-COX: n = 8) or traditional (TS-COX: 8), an additional active control group (CON: 8). The underwent evaluations countermovement vertical jump (CMVJ), spike (SPJ), T-test change direction speed (T-test CODS), repetition maximum (1RM) back squat leg press, Wingate Anaerobic Test before intervention (12 sessions total). Blood samples also collected assess resting testosterone cortisol responses. Following training, both CS-COX TS-COX exhibited significantly greater (p 0.001) changes than CON variables, while similar improvements maximal mean observed following < 0.05). Moreover, demonstrated CMVJ (effect size [ES] 0.36), SPJ (ES 0.06), CODS -0.60), peak output 0.72), along reductions -0.30) levels compared In conclusion, results indicate that incorporating led more favorable bio-motor adaptations, consistency uniformity among configurations.

Numerous studies have investigated the impact of resistance training (RT) and plyometric (PT) set configurations (cluster sets [CS] traditional [TS]) on lower body performance adaptations. However, effects these modalities upper physical performance, particularly among Table Tennis (TT) players, remain unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to examine an 8-week RT PT using CS TS attributes male TT players. Forty young players were recruited from a local academy after determining their dominant hand, divided into CS-PT, TS-PT, CS-RT, TS-RT, active control (CON) groups, each eight. Pre- post-interventions, muscular power (medicine ball throw), maximal strength (bench press), reaction time, arm crank anaerobic test measured. Following intervention, CON group exhibited no changes; however, TS-RT groups displayed significant (p = 0.001) improvements in (effect size [ES] 1.21 [large], 1.02 [medium], 0.81 0.64 [medium]), (ES 0.40 [small], 0.43 0.62 0.63 time − 0.71 0.68 0.83 0.61 peak 1.83 1.66 0.90 0.67 mean 0.89 0.57 0.59 [small]), respectively.
