Adherence to the World Health Organization's 24-hour movement behavior (24-HMB) guidelines is associated with various health outcomes. However, its relationship bone mineral density (BMD) in young children has not been investigated. This study aimed examine cross-sectional and longitudinal associations between adherence 24-HMB BMD children.

Importance The prevalence estimates of physical activity, sedentary behavior, and sleep (collectively known as movement behaviors) in 3- 4-year-old children worldwide remains uncertain. Objective To report the proportion who met World Health Organization guidelines for across 33 countries. Design, Setting, Participants Pooled analysis data from 14 cross-sectional studies (July 2008 to September 2022) identified through systematic reviews personal networks. Thirty-three countries varying income levels 6 geographical regions. Each study site needed have at least 40 aged 3.0 4.9 years with valid accelerometry parent-/caregiver-reported screen time duration data. Data were analyzed October 2022 February 2023. Exposures Time spent activity was assessed by reanalyzing using a harmonized data-processing protocol. Screen proxy reported parents or caregivers. Main Outcomes Measures (≥180 min/d total ≥60 moderate- vigorous-intensity activity), (≤1 h/d), (10-13 h/d) estimated Bank group region meta-analysis. Results Of 7017 (mean [SD] age, 4.1 [0.5] years; 3585 [51.1%] boys 3432 [48.9%] girls) this pooled analysis, 14.3% (95% CI, 9.7-20.7) overall time, duration. There no clear pattern according group: meeting 16.6% 10.4-25.3) low- lower-middle–income countries, 11.9% 5.9-22.5) upper-middle–income 14.4% 9.6-21.1) high-income highest Africa (23.9%; 95% 11.6-43.0), while lowest North South America (7.7%; 3.6-15.8). Conclusions Relevance Most did not meet current sleep. Priority must be given understanding factors that influence these behaviors age implementing contextually appropriate programs policies proven effective promoting healthy behaviors.

Human movement behaviour typically unfolds in 24-h cycles, with children being additionally influenced by their parents. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate adherence 3-10-year-old World Health Organization's (WHO) guidelines relation behaviours mothers/fathers. Data from Czech cross-sectional FAMIly Physical Activity, Sedentary and Sleep included 381 families (with at least one child aged 3-10 years) urban rural areas across all three regions Czechia. Twenty four-hour (sleep, sedentary behaviour, physical activity) monitored using ActiGraph accelerometers placed on non-dominant wrists parents for seven consecutive days. Children's WHO analysed logistic regression analysis. 25.9% girls 26.7% boys simultaneously met (sleep + activity), 44.7% 46.1% any combination two guidelines, regardless children's gender, weight, or calendar age. Maternal overweight/obesity significantly (P = .05) decreased odds achieving while parental university education maternal increased complying these guidelines. Parents, especially mothers, play an important role influencing meeting shaping a healthy lifestyle.

Background : Understanding the factors influencing 24-hour movement behaviors is important for designing appropriate health promotion strategies. We examined multidimensional correlates of physical activity, sedentary behavior, screen time, and sleep among children under 5 years age in Ethiopia. Methods Cross-sectional study conducted Adama Lume district, Children were recruited from urban kindergartens rural villages. Physical assessed using accelerometry. Screen time parent reported. Background Adherence to physical activity guidelines is crucial for children’s physical, social, and cognitive well-being. While previous research shows that about 77% of preschoolers meet the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, differences in outcomes based on geographic locations are unclear. This study examines disparities activity, sedentary behavior, sleep, gross motor skills between rural urban preschoolers. Methods The involved 131 healthy (3.4 ± 0.8 years) from Lagos State, Nigeria. Participants wore ActiGraph GT3X+ accelerometers their hips at least 72 h per week. Socio-demographic data were collected using a parent-reported survey. Physical (light, moderate-vigorous) time measured accelerometers, while assessed modified version NIH Toolbox. Independent sample t-tests tested difference two groups. Results No significant sleep (t = −0.22, p 0.83) was found However, observed −3.49, < 0.01, d −0.67), light-intensity (LPA; t 3.07, 0.62), moderate-to vigorous-physical (MVPA; 4.77, 0.91), all ( 0.05). ABSTRACT Background Obesity‐related behaviours such as physical activity, sedentary behaviour, sleep, screen time and diet often cluster in children. There is limited evidence on the clustering of movement among young children from low‐ middle‐income countries. This paper reports how 24‐h Mongolian preschool their associations with eating adiposity. Methods Cross‐sectional study involved 201 aged 3–4 years attending kindergartens urban rural areas Ulaanbaatar city, Tuv Uvurkhangai provinces, Mongolia. Children wore accelerometers to measure behaviour sleep. Parents completed a questionnaire report behaviours. To derive clusters, hierarchical k‐means analyses were performed sequentially. Associations between BMI z‐score analysed using ANOVA. Logistic regression was applied estimate odds being overweight depending membership. Results Three clusters identified: All‐rounders , Non‐active Sleepers Screeners . We found that around half exhibited at least one unhealthy classified into mix healthy The did not differ by sociodemographic characteristics. No significant association membership highest risk for (odds ratio = 1.7, 95% CI: 0.67–4.33), who two obesogenic simultaneously, > 4 h per day regular consumption snacks (53%, p 0.033) sugary drinks 0.014). Conclusion Obesity prevention measures should begin early childhood target high‐risk considering co‐occurrence More research needed Mongolia provide obesity policies inform targeted interventions promote age.
