the
Tree
Life.
Phylogenetic
approaches
provide
insights
into
diversification
by
enabling

for
alternative
scenarios

Here,
we
review
current
toolkit
available
conducting
such
analyses.
We
first
highlight
modeling
efforts
over
past
decade
have
fostered
a
notable
transition
from
overly
simplistic
evolutionary
more
nuanced
