In land plants, plastids acquired different functions and structures in parallel with the increasing genetic, developmental, morphological diversity attained by plant tissues. There are transition dynamics among morpho-functional features of plastid types. This review is focused on structure interconversion a focus recent findings special attention to types that less known than chloroplasts. The morpho-physiological biochemical differences, which explain multiple each type transcriptional post-translational modulation capabilities here described. structural dynamism also discussed through their ability produce protrusions called stromules activity lipoprotein particles as plastoglobules. As consequence proteome differences types, conversion from one another requires an organellar reorganization turnover proteins, but differentially regulated import nuclear-encoded proteins. Plastid degradation macroautophagy microautophagy pathways Taken together, all this information allows us interpret sensors development way uses modify its growth.

Due to the increasing global demand for feed protein, microbial protein has great potential of being able sustainably. However, application in animal cultivation industry is still limited by its high cost and availability on scale. From viewpoint industrial production, it vital specify crucial processes components further technical exploration process optimization. This article presents state-of-the-art technologies non-protein nitrogen (NPN) assimilation production. Nitrogen sources are one main factors media used large-scale fermentation. Therefore, available NPN synthesis, utilization mechanisms, fermentation corresponding strain reviewed this paper. Especially, random mutagenesis adaptive laboratory evolution (ALE) approach combined with (ultra-) throughput screening provided impetus increase yield. Despite underlying technological advances production extensive research development efforts required before commercial feed.

Marine biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) is crucial for introducing “new nitrogen” into the oceans. Over past 30 years, numerous laboratory and on-board culture experiments have been conducted studying effects of nutrients such as total dissolved (TDN), phosphorus (TDP), iron (DFe) on marine diazotrophs Braarudosphaera bigelowii ( B. ), Trichodesmium , Crocosphaera noncyanobacterial (NCDs). Most studies concluded that elevated inorganic levels inhibit in promote its growth, minimal effect . The impact NCDs unclear. Moreover, (DIP) can individual population most P-limited environments. Dissolved organic a potential phosphorous source low-DIP Elevated DFe growth Fe-limited At present, yet to achieve pure culture. mainly limited study single nutrient, which cannot accurately reflect actual environment where live. As result, our understanding still insufficient. Future research focusing issues above development innovative technologies methodologies investigate BNF highly recommended, will allow more precise assessment global primary productivity while providing scientific foundation rational evaluation ocean CO 2 uptake emissions.
