Summary Advances in single‐cell and spatial omics technologies have revolutionised biology by revealing the diverse molecular states of individual cells their organization within tissues. The field plant has widely adopted transcriptome chromatin accessibility profiling transcriptomics, which extend traditional cell genomics analyses provide unique opportunities to reveal cellular dynamics Using these technologies, comprehensive atlases been generated several model species, providing valuable platforms for discovery tool development. Other emerging related omics, such as multiomics, lineage tracing, recording, high‐content genetic chemical perturbation phenotyping, offer immense potential deepening our understanding yet remain underutilised due technical challenges resource availability.
