Airborne microorganisms, including pathogens, would change with surrounding environments and become issues of global concern due to their threats human health. Microbial communities typically contain a few abundant but many rare species. However, how the airborne microbial respond environmental changes is still unclear, especially at hour scale. Here, we used sequencing approach based on bacterial 16S rRNA genes fungal ITS2 regions investigate high time-resolved dynamics bacteria fungi explore responses microbes atmospheric changes. Our results showed that air pollutants were significantly affected by activities related Chinese New Year (CNY). Before CNY, significant hour-scale in both subcommunities observed, while only subcommunity changed time series during CNY. Air meteorological parameters explained 61.5%-74.2% variations community 13.3%-21.6% communities. These suggested species more sensitive than taxa. Stochastic processes predominated assembly communities, deterministic determined Potential pathogens CNY highest, suggesting an increased health risk Overall, our findings highlighted "holiday effect" expanded current understanding ecological mechanisms risks changing atmosphere.
