Antibiotic resistance is a public health emergency, with ten million deaths estimated annually by the year 2050. Water systems are an important medium for development and dissemination of antibiotic from variety sources, explored in this perspective review. Hospital wastewater more broadly breeding grounds because nature their waste how it processed. Corporations various sectors contribute to many direct indirect ways. Pharmaceutical factory runoff, agricultural use, use nitrogen fertilizers, heavy metal pollution, air pollution (atmospheric deposition, burning oil and/or fossil fuels), plastic/microplastic oil/petroleum spills/pollution have all been demonstrated resistance. Mitigation strategies reduce these pathways discussed future directions hypothesized.
