Pregnant women are vulnerable to stress. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused a global pandemic and created significant stress for many people. Social distancing reduce the spread of COVID-19 also reduced social interactions, which increased isolation loneliness. Loneliness is thought increase perceived stress, cause psychological distress, risk mental illness, such as depression. This study examined association between serious distress (SPD) loneliness during in pregnant Japanese women.An internet survey 1022 Japan was conducted June 1 July 21, 2021. 6-item Kessler Psychological Distress Scale, 3-item Revised UCLA Fear Scale were used measurement tools. prevalence SPD defined K6 score ≥13.The 16.5%. Multivariate analysis revealed that factors younger age (odds ratio [OR] 1.05; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.01 1.10; p = 0.020), history abortion or miscarriages (OR 1.56; CI 1.04 2.36; 0.034), unemployment 1.67; 1.14 2.45; 0.008), fear (OR, 1.12; CI, 1.08 1.17; < 0.001), 1.53; 1.38 1.70; 0.001).Pregnant showed high SPD. Abstract Background Mental health is reported to be a significant issue among slum dwellers and unhoused (homeless) individuals worldwide, particularly those facing housing instability. Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city industrial hub of Vietnam, has substantial population experiencing instability, although its exact scale rarely been accurately measured. This study aimed estimate prevalence serious psychological distress in City identify factors associated with distress. Methods A cross-sectional survey involving 415 including 383 32 individuals, was conducted between November 2023 April 2024. Data were collected using structured questionnaire incorporating 6-item version Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K6). Results The overall 19.8%, 18.5% 34.4% people. Multiple logistic regression analysis revealed associations female gender (adjusted odds ratio = 3.086, p < 0.001), labour exploitation 1.914, 0.046), debt 3.109, 0.001). Notably, 68.7% participants some form exploitation, which commonly included contract rejections, forced overwork, wage theft, physical or verbal abuse. The COVID-19 pandemic imposed additional and specific challenges on the lives wellbeing of informal unpaid carers. Addressing an important gap in existing literature, this systematic review (prospectively registered with PROSPERO CRD42022376012 ) synthesises evaluates quantitative evidence examining association between caregiving mental health (compared to non-caring), during pandemic. Five databases were searched (Medline, PsycInfo, EMBASE, Scopus, Web Science) from Jan 1, 2020, March 2023. Population-based, peer-reviewed studies using any observational design included, screening, data extraction quality assessment (amended NOS) independently conducted by two reviewers. Of 3,073 records screened, 20 eligible (113,151 participants) included. Overall was moderate. Narrative synthesis complemented Effect-direction Albatross plots (given significant between-study heterogeneity precluded meta-analysis). Results indicate that carers, already poorer pre-COVID compared non-caregivers, disproportionally impacted as a result its associated public containment measures.
