According to WHO, mental problems are increasing about 25% people suffer from illness globally. Depression, anxiety stress the most common particularly among students in higher learning institutions. Depression among adolescents and young adults with HIV affects both their wellbeing clinical care outcomes. Integrated models are needed. We hypothesized that the SEARCH-Youth intervention, a life-stage-based model improved viral suppression, would reduce depressive symptoms as compared to standard of care. conducted mixed-methods study youth aged 15-24 years in SEARCH-Youth, cluster-randomized trial rural Uganda Kenya (NCT03848728). was assessed cross-sectionally PHQ-9 screening tool by arm using targeted minimum loss-based estimation. Background Adolescents in Sub-Saharan Africa are disproportionately affected by the HIV epidemic. Comorbid depression is prevalent among adolescents living with (ALWH) and poses numerous challenges to care engagement retainment. We present a pilot trial designed investigate feasibility, fidelity, acceptability of an dapted e nhanced F riendship B ench intervention (henceforth: AFB EFB) reducing improving ALWH Malawi. Methods Design: Participants will be randomized one three conditions: Friendship Bench adapted for (AFB, n = 35), enhanced peer support (EFB, or standard (SOC, 35). Recruitment planned early 2024 four clinics Participants: Eligibility criteria (1) aged 13–19; (2) diagnosed (vertically horizontally); (3) scored ≥ 13 on self-reported Beck’s Depression Inventory (BDI-II); (4) clinic’s catchment area intention remain at least 1 year; (5) willing provide informed consent. Interventions: includes 6 counseling sessions facilitated young, trained non-professional counselors. EFB consists plus integration group facilitate care. SOC mental health public facilities Malawi options basic supportive counseling, medication, referral psychiatric units tertiary hospitals more severe cases. Introduction Body dissatisfaction can be affect adolescents’ mental health, leading to issues with body weight control, low self-esteem, and poor school performance. Methods A total of 24 interviews adolescents, parents, teachers in Spain were conducted for this study. The study aimed explore compare the views regarding interventions improve self-esteem positive image school-aged adolescents. generic qualitative design purposive sampling was used, data thematically analyzed. Results Key barriers identified included lack family communication, unfavourable environments, insufficient training. Social media gender stereotypes, along social rejection, major challenges Facilitators involvement using role models as a strategy. Proposed focused on individual group recreational activities starting at an early age, engaging adolescents interest, promoting collaboration families. Introduction Mental illness is a significant challenge during adolescence and youth period, posing threat to individuals’ mental health, well-being, productivity. Despite the global burden, comprehensive evidence on use of youth-safe spaces improve their health has been limited. Therefore, this review aims explore existing literature role safe in shaping outcomes youth. Methods We followed Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) scoping guidelines. This focused individuals aged 10 25. It explores for youth, including community centers, schools, clubs, online forums, promoting health. conducted search using PubMed/MEDLINE, PsycINFO, Web Science, Scopus, Google Scholar, grey sources.
