Abstract Background Approximately one in five pregnant women experience antenatal depression globally. The purpose of the present study was to estimate prevalence and explore its relationship between various demographic variables, recent sexual engagement, adverse life events among Afghan women. Methods A cross-sectional survey carried out January, 2023 April 406 aged 15–45 years who were recruited randomly from Herat province (Afghanistan). Logistic regression models utilized socio-demographic characteristics participants. Results symptoms 78.5%. Multiple analysis indicated that significantly associated with (i) being 30–45 AOR: 4.216, p = .001), (ii) low economic status (AOR:2.102, .036), (iii) not employed (AOR: 2.445, .015), (iv) having had sex during past seven days 2.335, (v) experienced a traumatic event month (AOR:0.263, < .001). Conclusion provides insight into factors high (e.g., events, engagement). It highlights urgency addressing Afghanistan foundation for future research interventions aimed at improving mental health well-being context.

This study was aimed to investigate the prevalence of domestic violence against men and its effect on marital satisfaction during Covid-19 pandemic. cross-sectional conducted in period 2019 2020 233 Estahban city, Iran, who were selected using convenient sampling method. Data collection instruments Demographic Characteristics Checklist, Domestic Violence Against Men Questionnaire, Enrich Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire. Pearson’s correlation analysis multiple linear regression used for data analysis. The mean scores 321.08 ± 25.9 235 0.13, respectively, these two variables significantly correlated ( r = .215; p < .001).
