Perceived emotional support from professors is a well-documented factor influencing students’ motivation, participation, perseverance, and well-being. However, its influence on sedentary lifestyle behaviors remains underexplored. This study assessed the direct of perceived professor’s undergraduate students at state university in Philippines. Utilizing multiple regression approach, this analyzed data collected 1,128 purposively selected through an online survey conducted January to February 2024. The included Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire Teacher’s Emotional Support Scale. Results indicate that significantly predicts during weekdays [F(3, 1124) = 3.104, p .026] weekends 4.837, .002]. Professor’s sensitivity regard adult perspective were significant predictors reduced behavior, whereas positive climate was not. Specifically, Sensitivity (β -.189, .012) Regard .201, < .001) influenced weekday behaviors, while -.295, .218, .005) weekend behaviors. concludes plays crucial role mitigating among students. These findings underscore importance professor-student relationships extending beyond academics foster healthier choices. Further research recommended explore underlying mechanisms contextual factors affecting relationship, aiming develop targeted interventions policies enhance both academic performance physical well-being, thus fostering supportive learning environments.

Abstract Background Active outdoor play is important for children’s health and development, playgrounds provide good places play. However, the importance of playground use well-being unclear. Our scoping review aims to create an overview all research on benefits children. Methods Scopus, Web Science, SportDiscus, PsycInfo were searched using two search blocks, focusing 'playground' 'children' respectively, publications from 2000 November 2023. The primary inclusion criterion was examining relationship between positive physical, mental, or social outcomes. Only papers published in English reviewed. For each publication, we synthesized condensed results, categorizing them by setting, reported outcome, participant age group, study design, methodologies, publication's country, year, ‘stage evidence’. Results Data 247 studies extracted nearly 80% these descriptive exploratory studies. Fifty-two intervention Adding markings schoolyards led increased physical activity. Introduction Increasing physical activity (PA) levels among children is critical to mitigate health risks associated with inactivity. Schools have been highlighted as ideal setting for promoting PA. However, existing school-based PA programs often face implementation challenges. The FIT FIRST 10 (FF10) multi-sport program has introduced in Denmark, aiming increase and enhance children's health, fitness, well-being. This study evaluates the of FF10 2nd 3rd graders. Materials methods was implemented a 20-week cluster randomized controlled trial across 27 schools. were assigned control arm or intervention arms receiving either 3 (full dose) 1.5 (half 40-min lessons weekly. Teachers received one-day training session, comprehensive manuals, necessary equipment. Data collected from teachers via logbooks documenting fidelity, an online questionnaire assessing acceptability, appropriateness, feasibility, teachers' capability, opportunity, motivation implementing program. Results A total 18 schools 36 classes participated this study. Program fidelity high both groups (2.8 2.0 session/week full half-dose, respectively). Confidence intervals indicated no differences between two any outcomes. ( n = 32) rated moderately acceptable, appropriate, feasible (3.5–4.0 out potential maximum 5). Both exhibited moderate psychological capabilities (3.5–4.0) social opportunities (>4.0), but poor scores (<3.5), particularly regarding perceived benefits automatization delivering Conclusion almost delivered intended, time constraints, limited facilities, modest teacher might hindered implementation. Reducing program's dosage did not improve outcomes, emphasizing need ongoing support boost integration into school timetables.

Introduction Despite the known health and educational benefits of physical activity risks prolonged sedentary behaviour, only one in 10 adolescents globally meet guidelines, three-quarters school day is spent sitting. TransformUs , an effective cost-effective whole-of-school programme for promoting primary children’s reducing has been adapted secondary schools ( Secondary ). The aim this paper to describe protocol relation implementation scale-up across Australia, real-world effectiveness intervention on adolescents’ time, as well sitting sleep, well-being class engagement. Methods analysis A type II hybrid implementation-effectiveness trial will be conducted using a mixed-methods design. For trial, disseminated via key organisations nationally (eg, state departments education) available all Australian (n=1453). Implementation outcomes evaluated RE-AIM framework (reach, adoption, maintenance). Data collected at teacher levels website (website analytics), descriptive quantitative surveys, text messages teachers qualitative interviews with teachers, students representatives from organisations. Descriptive statistics summarise data, regression analyses examining associations between strategies outcomes. classified low, moderate or high based extent delivery. Qualitative data thematically analysed. We assess Victorian pragmatic 1:1 waitlist control target sample 600 Year 7–10 (12–16 years). Primary include time (assessed accelerometry), (sleep well-being), engagement (on-task behaviour assessed classroom observation attendance) posture monitors). students’ demographics, activity, engagement, while mixed models evaluate effects these outcomes, adjusted confounders. Additionally, analysed deductive inductive coding NVivo. Abstract For population-wide impact of interventions, evidence-based programs must be successfully disseminated and adopted at scale. Research–practice partnerships can legitimize support organizational adoption, however, ways leveraging the contributions partners during dissemination processes are less clear. TransformUs is a school-based physical activity sedentary behaviour program, since 2018, has been scale to all primary schools in Victoria, Australia, partnership with 16 state national organizations. The study objective was investigate experiences partner organizations disseminating within their networks, factors associated awareness adoption program schools, from perspective Semi-structured interviews representatives 15 (out 16) 2019 involved state-wide. An interview guide informed by RE-AIM framework. Interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed, coded anonymously. Data analysed thematically. Four themes (and 13 sub-themes) identified: (i) barriers facilitators dissemination; (ii) implementation for partners; (iii) overall research experience; (iv) strategy. Partners used multiple channels increase strong alignment between organization’s goals appeared enable dissemination. outlined several local, regional, with, offered suggestions regarding preferred content timing activities networks.
