Traffic safety remains a top priority for policymakers and researchers, prompting numerous investigations to enhance all road users, particularly pedestrians. This paper evaluates the impact of implementing scramble phases at intersections with high concentration vulnerable users in Edmonton, Canada. The study spans three periods: prior phase installation, immediately post-installation, 6 months post-installation. evaluation employs two key methodologies. Firstly, it observes frequency right-turn-on-red violations assess driver behaviour. Secondly, investigates serious conflicts, utilizing indicators such as time collision, difference point intersection, distance between stop position pedestrian. findings suggest that introducing positively impacts intersection safety, notably reducing severe conflicts total violations. These results offer valuable insights researchers working towards safer urban traffic environments.
