The metaverse has emerged as a technology with great potential to transform educational processes, generating immersive environments that invite us rethink the way students learn and engage knowledge. However, despite its growing adoption, gap persists in our in-depth understanding of how experience these experiences pedagogical implications they provide.This article aimed analyze, through narrative review, derived from empirical studies on student metaverse-mediated environments, identify patterns, challenges, recommendations for instructional design.An exploratory review was conducted 50 original published between 2022 2024 English Spanish, using qualitative, quantitative, mixed approaches. analysis organized around three research questions.The results show can increase motivation, engagement, collaboration, but it also presents technical, emotional, challenges hinder effective implementation.It is concluded use education requires profound redesign, accompanied by teacher training, digital inclusion, student-centered ethical approach.
