Purpose of review Deficiencies in micronutrients persist as widespread global challenges, where supplementation remains a crucial therapeutic approach. This aims to elucidate the intricate relationships between micronutrient – specifically iron, selenium (Se), and vitamin D (Vit D) gut microbiota composition, investigating their collective impact on host health disease susceptibility. Recent findings Maintaining balanced iron levels is essential for equilibrium health, both deficiency excess disrupt bacterial balance, affecting colon health. Se can restore improve microbial influencing outcomes not only but also areas such neuroprotection brain, testicular metabolic syndrome. Clinical experimental models demonstrate that Vit modulates microbiome, enhancing anti-inflammatory effects, supporting potentially reducing risk gut-related behavioral changes diseases. Summary Findings this emphasize are maintaining healthy composition underscore beneficial effects modulating microbiome. The interactions microbiome complex may have broad spectrum outcomes.

The hypothalamic molecular processes participate in the regulation of neuro-immune-endocrine system, including hormone, metabolite, chemokine circulation, and corresponding physiological behavioral responses. RNA-sequencing profiles were analyzed to understand effect juvenile immune metabolic distress 100 days after virally elicited maternal activation during gestation pigs. Over 1,300 genes exhibited significant additive or interacting effects gestational activation, distress, sex. One-third these presented multiple effects, emphasizing complex interplay factors. Key functional categories enriched among affected included sensory perception pain, steroidogenesis, prolactin, neuropeptide, inflammatory signaling. These underscore intricate relationship between gestation, response pathways insults. sex-dependent for many genes, such as

ABSTRACT Acute lung injury (ALI) is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. However, its clinical treatment limited. Currently, the of diseases by regulating microbiota has become a research hotspot. In this study, we investigated protective effects intranasal administration Clostridium butyricum derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced ALI. The results demonstrated that compared LPS group, pre-treatment group C. EVs reduced expression pro-inflammatory cytokines alleviated symptoms in ALI mice inhibiting TLR4/MyD88 signaling pathway. Moreover, inhibited apoptosis-related proteins increased barrier proteins. Additionally, intervention changed composition pulmonary microbiota. At species level, significantly relative abundance Acinetobacter johnsonii , while reversed effect. conclusion, these data demonstrate can prevent LPS-induced reducing inflammation, apoptosis, improving function. regulated to alleviate IMPORTANCE disorder plays an important role progression acute (ALI). very few studies have been conducted treat modulating diversity were altered mice, but ecological balance was restored . study reported mechanism for These reveal importance disease. It provides new approach new-generation probiotics.
