The mental fatigue of rural homestay operators is great significance to their performance as well the sustainability tourism industry. Mental a state mind caused by consistently demanding cognitive activities. health has been severely hit during COVID-19, and they are in urgent need finding path recovery. Based on value co-creation theory, this paper explores how operators’ affects under moderating effects government support tourists’ participation. We conducted questionnaire survey 19 tourist destinations Nanjing, China, collected total 201 questionnaires from operators. results reveal that negative effect homestays. What’s more, participation could moderate relationship between performance. Although not significant, can influence directly indirectly. Through operators, tourists, with aim improving process, be alleviated restored. These findings help us explore recovery mechanism homestays promote sustainable development post-COVID-19 period.
