Ocular surface disorders such as Lid Wiper Epitheliopathy (LWE), Superior Epithelial Arcuate Lesion (SEAL), and contact lens-induced Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency (LSCD) well Limbic Keratoconjunctivitis (SLK) affect one's quality of life. Hence, it is imperative to investigate the underlying causes these ocular disorders. During blink, undersurface eyelid tends interact with cornea conjunctiva. The presence a lens can add biomechanical frictional changes on surfaces. To estimate without lens, finite element model (FEM) wiper, eyeball, was developed using COMSOL Multiphysics. Biomechanical properties von Mises stress (VMS) displacement were calculated. Our study concluded that (a) maximum VMS observed in lid wiper absence eye (b) superior 1.3 mm eye. Thus, development friction-induced LWE, SLK, SEAL, LSCD could be attributed increased VMS. FEA useful simulation tool helps us understand effect blink normal CL.
