Abstract The rise of air, water, and soil pollution poses a significant threat to global health, leading widespread disease premature mortality. Soil health is vital, ensuring the production safe food, but it compromised by pollutants such as heavy metals, pesticides, plastics, excessive fertilization, resulting in depletion beneficial microorganisms subsequently groundwater contamination. Water bodies are polluted due contamination from industrial effluents, domestic wastewater, agricultural runoff, oil spillage, further intensifying environmental pollution. On other hand, atmospheric pollution, characterized high emissions gases, volatile compounds, greenhouse not only impacts climate also serious risks human respiratory diseases, cardiovascular issues, increased cancer risks. Thus, strategic utilization traditional plants emerges potent tool for restoration improving health. possess natural filtering capabilities, absorbing soil, thus mitigating their adverse effects. Through phytoremediation, can be actively used extract remove contaminants, contributing detoxification water quality. Additionally, offer various benefits. Moringa oleifera or drumstick plant belonging Moringaceae family one indigenous with wide applications, that grown extreme arid conditions. Since ancient times, this has been treating skin infections, anaemia, blood impurities. This thrives diverse climates addressing over 300 different aliments. Rich phytochemicals bioactive M. serve superfood, offering nutritional values exhibiting potential drug development fewer side Extensive research elucidated properties applications , however, in-depth needed identify molecules, phytochemicals, protein compounds involved, which will aid understanding mechanisms action plant's functions. Although studies have reported several individual attributes there no comprehensive study available its applications. review covers findings past three decades provides detailed outline parts, environmental, industrial, food aspects documented date.

The project aimed to determine the best conditions for encapsulating hydroalcoholic Moringa oleifera seed extracts using ionic gelation. A extract was prepared from powdered seeds a 70:30 ethanol-water mix and 1:18 w/v ratio. Ultrasound-assisted extraction conducted at 80 kHz, 100% intensity, 30 min °C. study (Full factorial treatment design) utilized varying quantities of sodium alginate assess encapsulation efficiency, form, antioxidant activity, polyphenol flavonoid content. Encapsulation performed via gelation extrusion. encapsulated products were stored 4 weeks 8 °C in 50 mL falcon tubes. Psychrometric data showed relative humidity 52.4 g water/100 dry air. Moisture content ranged 78.7 92.43 g/100 but decreased after 28 days, leading smaller diameters quicker release times. Over four weeks, samples retained their original color, whereas non-encapsulated darkened. most effective encapsulation, found product 6 100 2.5 alginate, maintained highest levels polyphenols flavonoids preserved over 85% activity. Ionic is promising method preserving extracts.

A recent study conducted an in silico model to investigate the potential of Moringa oleifera's ethanolic leaf extract as a natural anti-inflammatory agent. The HPLC analysis identified 7 phenolic acids (benzoic acid 28%, syringic 23%, ellagic 19%, chlorogenic 12%, catechol 11%, gallic 5%, and caffeic 2%) 5 flavonoids (naringenin 31%, kaempferol 30%, apigenin 14%, rutin 13%, quercetin 12%) that are known have activities vitro tested on human interleukin-1β (IL-1β) interleukin-6 (IL-6) previously prepared (Hamdy, 2023) polyphenol compounds were docked against IL-1β, IL-6, interleukin-1 receptor (IL1RA) using Auto-Dock Vina. Caffeic acid, interacted with amino residues IL-1β by creating hydrogen bonds hydrophobic interactions. co-crystalized ligand attached displayed affinity score −8.96 kcal/mol. quercetin, rutin, had unique interaction patterns forming being hydrophobic. interactions' binding energies ranged from −5.97 5.26 Moringa's polyphenolic also IL1RA, where exhibited kcal/mol −7.12 kcal/mol, respectively, created interactions bonds. In conclusion, oleifera polyphenols can interact IL-1RA reduce inflammation, making it treatment strategy for improving recovery.

Moringa leaves have well-known health and nutritional benefits. This work aimed to study the properties of nonfat yoghurt prepared from skim milk powder reconstituted in an aqueous extract (MLE). Three treatments were manufactured three concentrations MLE 0.5, 1 1.5%, which used reconstitute (10%). The results showed that, compared with control, had no effect on pH value, acidity% or protein content, but increased TS, ash mineral contents (Ca, K, Mg Fe) treatments. Nonfat made higher antioxidant activity (%) than control. curd tension viscosity control those applied treatments, exhibited lowest syneresis at 0.5 1% was organoleptically acceptable, treatment 1.5% sensory properties.

Here, we investigate how moringa, ‘superfood’ with predicted protective effects against chronic diabetes, influences physiology microbiome composition of fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. We administered moringa dietary Drosophila, quantified key indices: glucose, triacylglyceride, protein levels, weight. showed that supplementation significantly reduced glucose levels by up ~30% resulted substantial restructuring microbiota composition, altering both gut intracellular bacterial populations. The effect on specific because other indices, namely, triacylglyceride weight, were not affected supplementation. This study highlights importance modulator host metabolism.
