Reminiscence therapy through music is a psychosocial intervention with benefits for older patients neurocognitive disorders. Therapies using virtual or augmented reality are efficient in ecologically assessing, and eventually training, episodic memory populations. We designed semi-immersive musical game called "A Life Songs," which invites to immerse themselves past era visuals songs from that time period. The aspires become playful, easy-to-use, complete tool the assessment, rehabilitation, prevention of decline associated aging. This study aimed assess user experience (UX) newly serious game. After one several sessions guided by therapist, geriatric wards were asked answer questions selected 2 widely known UX scales (AttrakDiff meCUE [modular evaluation components experience]) therapist's help. internal consistency dimensions was assessed Cronbach α verify validity dimensions. level engagement patient throughout experimental session also following an internally developed scale, included 5 levels (interactive, constructive, active, passive, disengaged behaviors). mean scores computed presented graphically. Verbal feedbacks reported support quantitative results. Overall, 60 inpatients age 84.2 (SD 5.5) years, majority whom women (41/60, 68%), included. Their score on Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) ranged between 12 29. A (27/56, 48%) had no major disorder (MNCD), 22/56 (39%) mild MNCD, 7/56 (13%) moderate MNCD. results revealed very positive values beyond neutral every dimension both scales. overall (SD) judgment rated 3.92 0.87) (on scale -5 5). Internal acceptable good emotional meCUE. Questionable unacceptable found other Participants mostly active (23/60, 38%) constructive (21/60, 35%). These findings demonstrated appreciation inpatients. Participants' health care professionals' verbal comments strongly aligned poor reflected high heterogeneity among patients. Further studies needed evaluate potential clinical factors such as functions, mood, depression, quality life.
