Abstract Background Dietary patterns are strongly correlated with chronic inflammation. Inflammatory processes play a crucial role in maintaining renal homeostasis and function. The dietary inflammatory potential can be assessed through the Index (DII), which has shown positive association higher likelihood of kidney disease (CKD) healthy individuals. However, applicability DII assessing atherosclerotic cardiovascular (ASCVD) patients not been evaluated. Methods This cross-sectional study enrolled 3,599 adult participants ASCVD taken from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) conducted between 1999 2018. Systematic collection baseline data was performed for all participants. Patients were categorized into four groups according to DII. function score using linear regression analysis. Multivariable logistic investigate correlation CKD. Furthermore, restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis employed explore non-linear correlations Results In models adjusted range possible confounders, demonstrated serum creatinine (p < 0.001) an inverse estimated glomerular filtration rate calculated MDRD equation 0.001). Compared individuals without CKD, those CKD had significantly elevated scores revealed significant high CKD; after classifying quartiles fully adjusting, highest quartile (quartile 4) showed increased risk compared lowest 1) (95% CI: 1.045–1.613, P = 0.019). Using analysis, relationship uncovered developing Conclusion utilized assess adults diagnosed ASCVD. findings that associated decreased independent factor development Our underscore importance diet low reduce this population.

Onychomycosis is a nail infection caused by dermatophyte fungi, non-dermatophyte and yeast. Patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis are part of the population that presents higher rates this disease, mainly due to immunosuppression. Among patients dialysis, treatment onychomycosis complex, limitations imposed comorbidities. In context, study evaluated safety potential efficacy combines debridement use acrylic gel nails carrying terbinafine at concentration 2%.

Anemia is a well-developed discipline where the concepts of precision medicine have, in part and being studied extensively. This review discusses treatment EPO-deficient anemia resistance Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Traditionally, erythropoietin-stimulating agents (ESA) iron supplementation have been used to manage CKD. However, these treatments potential risks, including cardiovascular thromboembolic events. Newer emerged address such as slow-release low-dosage intravenous iron, oral erythropoietin-iron combination therapy. Another novel approach using hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitors (HIF-PHI). highlights need for targeting genetic components CKD individual variability genes erythropoietin gene (EPO), Interleukin-β (IL-β), (HIF). Pharmacogenomics testing aims provide targeted therapies interventions that are tailored specific characteristics an individual, optimizing outcomes minimizing adverse effects. The article concludes by suggesting receptor modification revolutionize outcome deficiency through integration mentioned approach.
