Intergovernmental organizations (IOs) increasingly promote global citizenship education (GCE) and related topics. This paper analyses the body of scholarship on GCE that focuses teachers interprets development environment-related (ERE) within discourse. Using a novel, data-rich methodology employing Natural Language Processing Social Network Analysis, we trace how ERE is represented this representation evolved during last ten years. We argue topics have become prominent discourse, as tendency toward subject-specific discourse emerged in GCE, heavily influenced by intergovernmental organizations’ policies. It important to understand such transformations, given their possible influence curricular classroom experiences. Future research directions practical implications are discussed.

Youth NGOs have participated in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) for over a decade, yet research into their experiences is lacking. Drawing upon an ethnographic case study conducted between 2015 and 2018, we ask: does youth participation increase democratic legitimacy of UNFCCC-orchestrated global climate change regime? Applying concepts 'input' 'throughput' legitimacy, find that UNFCCC offers accessible entry-point young newcomers governance, but this not necessarily lead to engagement orchestrated initiatives. A potential exception Action Empowerment (ACE) which identify as overlooked example orchestration. We thus propose conceptual distinction 'exclusive' 'inclusive' orchestration, former merely connecting likeminded intermediaries while latter broadens inclusion actively redresses power imbalances, urging more proactive pursuit including from Secretariat COP Presidencies.

Abstract Soil is central to the complex interplay among biodiversity, climate, and society. This paper examines interconnectedness of soil climate change, societal impacts, emphasizing urgent need for integrated solutions. Human‐induced biodiversity loss change intensify environmental degradation, threatening human well‐being. Soils, rich in vital ecosystem function regulation, are highly vulnerable these pressures, affecting nutrient cycling, fertility, resilience. also crucially regulates influencing energy, water cycles, carbon storage. Yet, poses significant challenges health dynamics, amplifying global warming. Integrated approaches essential, including sustainable land management, policy interventions, technological innovations, engagement. Practices like agroforestry organic farming improve mitigate impacts. Effective policies governance crucial promoting practices conservation. Recent technologies aid monitoring implementing management. Societal engagement, through education collective action, stewardship. By prioritizing interdisciplinary research addressing key frontiers, scientists can advance understanding biodiversity–climate change–society nexus, informing strategies sustainability social equity.
