Many
claims
have
been
made

links
between
musical
expertise
and
language
ability.
Rhythm
ability,

particular,
has
shown
to
predict
phonological,
grammatical,
second-language
(L2)
abilities,
whereas
music
training
often
predicts
reading
speech-perception
skills.
Here,
we
asked
whether
expertise-musical
ability
and/or
training-relates
L2
(English)
abilities
of
Portuguese
native
speakers.
Participants
