Background Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is an early-onset neurodevelopmental disorder, usually accompanied by gut microbiota dysregulation. Gut homeostasis considered effective for ASD. Reportedly, Dachaihu decoction (DCHD) can efficiently regulate and inflammation. However, the mechanisms underlying effects of DCHD in treatment ASD remain unclear. Objective This study investigated potential treating Methods In animal experiment, propionic acid was administered to construct rat model. The rats were treated with DCHD, efficacy assessed using behavioral detections, such as open field test, elevated plus maze novel object recognition test. Additionally, levels IL-6, TNF- α , IL-10, T-SOD, MDA, GSH CAT determined kits, histological staining used evaluate brain morphology. Moreover, tight junction proteins (ZO-1 occludin) expression evaluated RT-qPCR, whereas Iba1 level immunofluorescence staining. 16S rRNA sequencing metabolomic analysis feces revealed targets against a small human trail, clinical scales ADOS-2 Behavior Checklist (ABC) autism severity. Gastrointestinal problems function based on food intolerance event-related potential, respectively. Results significantly improved autism-like behaviors increased antioxidant enzyme activity, decreased inflammation enhanced intestinal barrier experiment. Furthermore, altered profile, probiotics Adlercreutzia Parvibacter Turicibacter Christensenellaceae. Further, beneficial metabolite indole-3-acetate cognitive impairment-related metabolites asymmetric dimethylarginine homogentisic acid. Meanwhile, trial that alleviated core symptoms ASD, ABC scale scores. also specific egg white/yolk milk IgG antibodies shortened MMN P3b latencies. Conclusion demonstrated may alleviate via inhibiting oxidative stress, reducing inflammation, modulating rats. Combined trial, be promising drug provides scientific rationale mental disorders related dysbiosis.

Limitations in some emotional characteristics that are conceptualized the definition of intelligence can be seen among people with autism spectrum disorder. The main objective this study is analysis effectiveness interventions directed to enhance recognition and regulation specific population. A systematic review was carried out databases such as Psycinfo, WoS, SCOPUS, PubMed, identifying a total 572 articles, which 29 met inclusion criteria. sample included 1061 participants, mainly children aged between 4 13 years. analyzed focused on improving recognition, significant results identification emotions happiness, sadness, anger, although showed limitations duration these effects. most used programs training facial virtual reality, use new technologies robots. These improvements both social skills. Other types music therapy or drama techniques were also implemented. However, gender bias lack consistency from different cultures observed. conclusions indicate that, reviewed seem effective, more research needed maximize their impact ASD

The prevalence of autism and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders is increasing worldwide. Recent studies suggest the excessive intake ultra-processed food plays a role in inheritance these via heavy metal exposures nutritional deficits that impact expression genes. In case metallothionein (MT) gene, biomarker show dietary zinc (Zn) MT protein levels children with are associated bioaccumulation lead and/or mercury exhibiting autism/attention symptomology. changes on gene behavior could be determined using randomized test control group design. Pregnant women serving test-group would participate epigenetics education intervention/course designed to reduce blood while whole Zn levels. Changes maternal diet measured data derived from an online survey administered groups pre-post intervention. lead, mercury, Zn, sample analyses prior intervention after childbirth cord determine infant risk factors.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition marked by difficulties in social communication, languages, and repetitive behaviors. Its rising prevalence has made it critical global public health issue. ASD believed to arise from combination of genetic environmental influences. While some gene mutations associated with have been identified, most cases lack clear explanations. Evidence increasingly points early-life factors as key contributors ASD, including advanced parental age, maternal diabetes during pregnancy, infections, hormonal imbalances, certain medications, exposure air pollution. Currently, diagnosis relies on behavioral assessments, but the absence specific molecular biomarkers poses significant obstacles early detection targeted therapies. Encouragingly, research identified potential biomarkers, such neuroimaging classifiers, electroencephalography patterns, eye-tracking data, digital analytics, expression profiles, inflammatory chemokine markers, proteomic metabolomic gut microbiota characteristics. Potential therapeutical strategies under investigation include therapies, non-invasive brain stimulation, antioxidants, oxytocin, AVPR1a antagonists, PPAR agonists, mTOR inhibitors. This review explores across five areas: epidemiological trends, mechanisms, their roles, diagnostic therapeutic approaches.

Abstract Background Congenital central hypoventilation syndrome (CCHS) is a rare condition characterized by alveolar and autonomic nervous system (ANS) dysfunction requiring long-term ventilation. CCHS could constitute risk factor of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) due to birth injury related respiratory failure, which remains be determined. ANS has also been described in ASD there are indications for altered contribution ANS-central interaction processing social information; thus, based on pathophysiological background also. Our study aimed determine the prevalence among patients, identify factors, explore relationship between ANS, evaluated heart rate variability indices, adaptative functioning. Results retrospective study, analysis records French national center patients with under 20 years age, determined that (diagnosed psychiatrist, following criteria DSM-4 or DSM-5) was 6/69 8.7% (95% confidence interval: 3.3–18.0%). In case (CCHS ASD, n = 6) – control without 12) matching sex, longer neonatal hospitalization stay glycemic were associated ASD. Adaptative functioning assessed using Vineland behavioral scales (VABS) indices (including daytime RMSSD as an index parasympathetic modulation) obtained from ECG Holter performed same day. 19 young subjects who had both VABS, significant positive correlations observed three four sub-domains VABS (communication: R 0.50, p 0.028; daily living skills: 0.60, 0.006; socialization: 0.52, 0.021). Conclusion suggests high CCHS. Glycemic initial stays development. A defect modulation worse

Self-injurious conduct is a highly maladaptive behaviour that often associated with severe mental retardation and autism. Research has highlighted the complexity multifactorial nature of aetiology disorder. In this paper we present, after careful analysis, treatment an adult subject autism spectrum disorder to reduce self-injurious teach him more effective less disabling ‘coping strategies’. The experimental design used criterion-variant type. analysis data showed goals set were achieved. post-treatment sessions, achieved extinction target behaviour.
