To assess the presence of psychological distress among non-Mexican migrants in-transit through Mexico, and to evaluate association forced migration in this population. Cross-sectional survey a non-probability sample six shelters November 2021 - May 2022. Migrant women in transit face high risk of developing mental health problems such as depression and anxiety, driven by gendered social-structural factors including violence, social isolation, migration uncertainty, limited access to services gender inequities. The absence of the right to health migrants in transit has evolved into a significant global concern, particularly border regions thus, this study aims improve knowledge area by exploring effects spatio-temporal liminal characteristics at borders achievement moving across two most transited and dangerous Latin America: Colchane (Chile-Bolivia) Darién Gap (Colombia-Panamá). Through qualitative descriptive multi-case study, we implemented 50 semi-structured interviews (n=30 Chile n=20 Darién/Necoclí) involving national, regional, local stakeholders. findings highlight that fulfilment is hindered dynamics borders. These include closure borders, (in)securities, uncertainty waiting, lack economic resources, protection all, politics, humanitarian interventions. surface how borders' liminality exacerbates segregation placing them temporospatial limbo undermines their health. Our concludes not just politics but also everyday practices, relationships social infrastructure impedes enjoyment distressed transit. short-term response; illicit borders; migratory regulations; cross-border political structures are some determinants these borderlands.

Background Colombia is currently the world’s main recipient country for Venezuelan migrants, and women represent a high proportion of them. Executive Summary We examine the deaths of undocumented migrants in southern California (i.e., San Diego and Imperial counties) for fiscal years (FYs) 2018–2023 using data obtained from County Medical Examiner’s Office (SDCMEO) Coroner’s (ICCO). recorded 314 migrants, with 157 (SDC) (IC). describe trend fluctuations migrant both overall county-specific proportions as they relate to causes death demographic characteristics (biological sex age at death).
