Research methods for aging populations in tourism and hospitality: a systematic review and critical reflection

Purpose
This
study
aims
to
systematically
review
and
critically
assess
research
methods
for
studying
aging
populations
in
tourism
hospitality.
It
identifies
gaps
provides
recommendations
advancing
methodological
innovation
response
emerging
agendas.
Design/methodology/approach
Following

Reporting

Reviews
Meta-Analyses

guidelines,
we
conducted
a
systematic
of
existing
literature
on

highlights

such

tourism

also

discusses
issues
related
to
publishing
conceptual

journals.
By
using
five‐dimension
framework
curiosity
(i.e.,
deprivation
sensitivity,
joyous
exploration,
social
curiosity,
stress
tolerance,
thrill
seeking),
scholars
can
assess
researchers’
topics
readers’
responses
when
contemplating
“what's
new”
gauge
paper's
publication
potential.
Several
tips
are

28-item
outbound
motivational
scale

nostalgia
wellness
